This little guy packs a punch for it's size. I use it at work to pull a vacuum on hvac systems and let me tell you, it functions flawlessly. It is super quiet when it runs, pulls a vacuum of 350 microns in less than 15 minutes. It is easy to install onto systems. It stays surprisingly cool during use and doesn't leak almost at all. Worth every penny spent. Instead of buying into the Makita type batteries for this pump, I purchased an adapter so that I can use my Dewalt batteries after the included battery loses charge. Makita batteries are super expensive and the knock off makita type batteries are not worth buying.

I got this for...simple vacuum stuff. Not stuff like, leak-testing an HVAC system for 2 hours to monitor vacuum falloff via Bluetooth. I have a vacuum pump that does all that. I don't always need to lug all that out and get it all set up. Sometimes I just need a little vacuum, nothing complicated.What I got this for: degassing epoxy resin in vacuum chambers; using with a Buchner funnel to vacuum filter substances; infusing resin into carbon fiber molds.You know. Simple vacuum stuff.And for simple vacuum stuff? It works great. The battery is pretty decent size (5 AH), and the charger is pretty reasonably fast (though it could be a little faster). The only thing I couldn't figure out is where you can get a 2nd (or replacement) battery. The lack of battery availability pretty much keeps this out of the hands of pros, who would need a constant workflow not attainable with a single battery. I had some resin to degas, and this took care of things in 2 or 3 minutes, where before I would have had to wait 30 or 45 minutes for most of the bubbles to work their way out. And waiting still doesn't do as good a job as this does.If it came with 2 batteries, I would give it 5 stars all the way. But the single battery kind of limits what you can do with but a single hour of runtime at your disposal to "simple vacuum stuff". But still, at 4 stars, I recommend it, and find it to be frankly quite useful. They have a $10 coupon for this, making it a solid deal. But I'd pay MORE if it came with 2 batteries. Hint, hint.
