A decent inexpensive shoulder rest, but I still prefer a name brand one for a little more money. The wood looks nice, but the feet don't feel quite as solid as I'd prefer. Also the padding on the top is a bit thin. Overall not awful but just kind of meh.

Adjustable via screws that hold the feet in position. Goes on and off easily and stays on well so far. The Kun brand is still my favorite, but this one is great for lending to students.

This shoulder rest is a decent price for a shoulder rest. There are a couple things I appreciate about it. The feet are collapsible, which is great for storage in violin cases. The knobs for extending the feet on the violin feel very secure. In the picture is a full size violin. I did not need to adjust the feet at all when it came in the box. If you need a shoulder rest for a 4/4 or 3/4 violin, this will do the job.

I've been looking to replace my shoulder rest for my violins for years. The one that I have had that I have played with my entire life was actually a hand me down, and I don't know how old it is. Now that I'm older, the older one just doesn't fit as well as it used to. So I've been looking for a new one and I thought this might be it.Keep in mind as well, I have several different violins. I have an old classic acoustic that was made in Germany in the '60s, I have an acoustic that I bought online maybe 15 years ago and is a lot easier to play on than my old classic, and I also have a very modern styled electric that is a unique shape and very hard to fit.Even though my old shoulder rest is old, it does fit my old classic violin the best I think, and has the sturdiest feet to it, so I actually think I need to replace that with one that is maybe a higher quality of feet. I do like this one, I like that the feet fold in and make it more compact, and if all else fails the feet are also actually removable, but the feeling I have from the feet is that I wouldn't necessarily feel comfortable with them on my old classic. It's old, it needs to be babied, I don't want to hurt it anymore than what it already went through with me when I was a young kid. I think this might do fine for my modern acoustic, it could work. But I still think I'm wanting one that maybe is wider with a little more cushion. But like I said the feet are removable. Talking about the product itself, I like the fact that this is adjustable. If you had a 3/4 size you could have this for that, and then you could also adjust it later for 4/4 size if a child was to upgrade. All of mine are 4/4, but I was very intrigued with the adjustable part of it because my electric is really weird shaped. I was so angry at the time when I bought that one because it only came with like a sewn little pillow as the shoulder rest and that was ridiculous. Trying to fit my old shoulder rest on this weird... Bent figure 8 of an instrument, although it looks really cool and sounds really cool, that's a tough sell. I actually had to turn the shoulder rest the other direction for whatever reason to get it to fit and even that was kind of weird, it would pop off while I was trying to use it etc. Having the adjustable feature with the feet allows me to adjust the size and it fits it a little bit better. So this has its uses, but as I said earlier it is a little awkward that this is very small and it kind of feels a little delicate. I'm not saying that it won't hold up, I'm just used to something a little bit sturdier. Other than that it's not bad, and I do plan to use it on all of mine however I need to, to give it a thorough tryout as it were, and I would recommend it to somebody. The price is right and it's worth trying out, and I do like it that it's not as heavy as a lot of them out there so that's pretty good too.

I have been using the same shoulder rest (sling style) for 55 years and thought it was about time I got one that provides a bit more support. This shoulder rest is inexpensive so low risk and high potential since others I play with have a similar style. On initial examination I really like the fit and adjustability of this shoulder rest. It slipped on to my violin quite easily and yet it feels very secure. I played with changing the height by simply spinning the legs and it is easy. The folding legs make it fit safely in my rectangular case without threat of damaging my violin. It is much easier to hold my violin on my shoulder with pressure from my chin. To think that all these years I have also had to rely on my left had for support! This should make it much easier to maneuver to those notes further up on the strings. Time will tell how comfortable it will be after two hours or more of playing but the thick but firm cushion feels good so far. This is an incredible value for what you get!

Fit on our full-size violin just fine and made it more comfortable.

This is a surprising product as it is really nice. It fit my full size violin out of the box without adjustment. The fit was good and contact points were secure and well padded. It is very light but not flimsy. It felt secure and comfortable when playing. It is easily adjustable for width and height. I would say this is one of the best shoulder rests I have used over my decades of playing and at an incredible low price. At its widest setting it fit my viola. Don't be put off by the low price this is a really good product and would recommend highly.

This rest looks quite nice with the wood finish and it fits my instrument perfectly. It was basically zero effort to put on. My complaint is that it's not very comfortable at all. The padding is almost non-existent. My old rest is almost 30 years old now and it's still more comfortable this one. Night and day difference. So I'll give this one points bc it looks nice and appears to be well-made... but I don't think I could use this for any real length of time. Even just holding my instrument on my shoulder to test this rest out was uncomfortable. I can't imagine playing for any length of time with it. Maybe it would get better with use, but idk. Initial impression is I'll probably not put the effort into finding out.
