This mouthpiece was recommended to me by a professional saxophonist, who has literally a lifetime of experience playing sax and playing a wide variety of mouthpieces on his horns. I play primarily quartet arrangements as well as a variety of band gigs. While the mouthpiece I had been playing on for some years was "OK" I found that it typically was really tough to stay in tune in the upper register, and the sound was just, well, shrill and irritating (bear in mind this is on soprano). This mouthpiece, in combination with The Klassik ligature, has transformed the sound my horn is producing to a rich, full, resonant tone, and intonation is way, way better in all registers, even on E, F and F#. Great mouthpiece!

クランポンのサックスを入手したので、それに合わせて購入しました。セルマーのマウスピースよりも自然に息が入る感じです。クランポンはヴァンドレンのマウスピースを基準にしてサックスを設計した、というのが納得できる吹奏感です。リードは青箱の2.0が良く合います。

Great product and cheaper than the Yamaha equivalent. Made a huge jump of a difference in quality of sound immediately. Coupled it with a new ligature and I'm a happy player.

I love the tone for use in quiet church music. I am using V16 and Java red reeds. The one caveat is that the MP is large in diameter and at the limits of a Rovner Eddie Daniels lig when the flaps are between the reef and metal (set for darker). The ligs screw touches the MP and leaves a small cosmetic scratch. If that's not a prob then try one.

For my money (and in my opinion) this is the best soprano mouthpiece for classical playing.I know some people prefer the S25, but in terms of tonal balance and the ability to switch instruments(from alto to sop., in my case) nothing works and sounds better.
