Vale is different in wiring PLUG from original. Also angled bolt up is not the same. Had to figure it out. See my review of the PLUG....I did this backward. Besides the problem differences...workes so far.

This a very good replacement part. It was very easy to install. It’s simply just “plug and play”. I’m once again able to switch my fuel tanks on my old ‘94 Ford F-250 idi diesel.

I bought one of these to replace the one on my 1985 Ford Falcon RV. The original one is $400 to $500 if you can find it. There is one for diesel but the D shaped plug wont plug in due to a tab inside the connector. This one here can be used without major modification. First you must buy the connector, available on Amazon. There are five wires to connect. If you don't have a wiring diagram you can do this. I recommend you leave the original connector in place, just tap into each wire and then with the ignition on, take voltage measurements. 2 of the wire's drive the internal motor. (this not a solenoid, it is a servo motor which moves the valve) these outputs will output ground and 12 volts and when you switch tanks the voltage will reverse. The 3 remaining wire are as follows, one for the gauge, which will display a varying voltage when on regardless of the switch position with ignition on. The 2 remaining go to each tank and will show a resistance value between 10 to 65 ohms (measure with connector unplugged. The new connector is marked A thru F. A goes to front Tank sending unit. B Goes to the fuel gauge, C goes to the rear sending unit. D and E are 12 volts and will swap polarity when you switch tanks. (this drives the valve motor in reverse) F is not used. (Note when you switch tanks it also applies voltage to the correct pump, this switching is done inside the valve. when you switch tanks it also internally switches power to the corresponding Electric in tank fuel pumps.) For the price I bought 2, one for a spare. Hopes this helps

While on the trip discovered I was pulling from both tanks even though I was only supposed to be pulling from only one. Had to replace the valve after only three weeks of use while on vacation.
