One day, my imac 27" 2017 monitor just slumped forward on my desk. I thought of fixing it with velcro straps or bungee cord but fortunately I came across The MacHack. It is an easy, simple solution that works. I highly recommend this product.

I have had three iMacs all with the same problem. A drooping screen due to the failure of the internal spring to hold the screen in position. I have used several homemade remedies that were not cleaver and worked ok. But this MacHack is brilliant in its simplistic design and works incredibly well. Will buy two more for my Mom and Sister who both have the same droopy screen problem.

This product is amazing! My mac screen suddenly dropped one day and would not tilt back up so I used a piece of cardboard to hold it back up. It did the trick but was ugly to see so I went online to search for some kind of bracket to hold it up and found this on Amazon. The design is nice, great quality, durable and easy to use. It's definitely worth the money!

Perfect fit for my 27” iMac but it seems a bit high priced for a 3D printed fix. It does work though and it’s a solid solution to completely ripping apart your computer to change the hinge.

Such a simple solution! Very well made and designed lock that keeps your iMac from tilting down. I got this not because of a broken hinge but to keep the screen from moving when I was cleaning it. The lock just stops it from tilting down but you can still tilt it up which is fine. It's extremely sturdy now and easy to remove if needed with no permanent damage to the iMac.

I looked at the various ways to fix my broken stand spring. Every one of the solutions involved opening up the iMac. This simple fix avoids that issue and literally took 30 seconds to put on. I have read some that say that this is an expensive piece of plastic. I say when you consider all the time it would take opening and closing my iMac, plus the time and gas of going to the store to buy whatever I would have to fabricate to hold the spring in place, this looks like a pretty good deal!

Excellent product and best solution to a broken Mac stand hinge problem. Things I liked about this product:1. Excellent quality and design and fits my stand PERFECTLY!2. Fair price3. Fixed my problem in two seconds versus taking monitor and computer apart, which I didn't want to do4. Item is completely adjustable so I can adjust monitor to different angles5. Small business (I prefer supporting small businesses if possible)6. This item is from the inventor and patent holderI could not think of one thing I would change in this design. I just heard the dreaded crack from the hinge on my 2012 - 27" iMac as I was positioning the screen, and the screen went limp, tilting downward to an almost unusable angle. So I rolled up some sweatpants and shoved them under the screen to prop it up until the MacHack arrived.30 seconds after opening the box, the MacHack was installed to a perfect fit. Now my screen and stand feel very sturdy, like one solid piece!This little MacHack saved me a bunch of time and money rather than dropping off the computer and being without it for however long it took to get the hinge fixed.I bought a second MacHack to help support the hinge on my 2013 - 27" iMac, as it's probably not far behind for a hinge failure.I definitely recommend these little guys for a very simple fix!
