About this item

  • Twist Drill Bits: Drilling Diameter: 3.6mm / 0.142"; Flute Length: 28mm / 1.1";Overall Length: 50.5mm / 1.99". Spiral chip space design for fast and clean chip removal. Sharp cutting edge provides smooth cutting and no glitches.
  • Wide Applications: Used for semi-finish and finish cutting of stainless steel, alloy steel, cast iron, titanium alloy, non-ferrous metal, copper, plastics. Designed for drilling abrasive materials when drilling accuracy must be maintained.
  • Carbide Tool: Constructed from micro grain YG6X/C3/K10 tungsten carbide, the drill bit is hardened up to 91HRA, wear resistance, corrosion resistance, heat resistance, and good bending strength.
  • Features: Carbide tool offers long tool life and faster cutting speeds than other substrates, and it is higher hardness but is more brittle. Carbide material with good cutting performance, can ensure high work efficiency.
  • Tips: Used on machining centers, CNC lathes. Adapt to several kinds of cooling conditions, such as oil mist, water, oil, air cooling. It is not recommended to be used with a hand drill. Hand drill is easy to shake, poor stability, which makes drill bit easy to twist off.

Carbide Twist Drill Bits

YG6X (C3/ K10) Fine Grain Carbide

Constructed from fine particle YG6X carbide (tungsten steel), the drill bit is hardened up to 91HRA, wear resistance, corrosion resistance, heat resistance, and good bending strength.

Spiral & Sharp Flutes

Spiral chip space design for fast and clean chip removal. Sharp cutting edge provides smooth cutting and no glitches. Chip removal is not easy to stick to the tool.

Easy to Use

Use on machining centers, CNC lathes. Not recommended to be used with a hand drill. Hand drill is easy to shake, with poor stability, which makes drill bit easy to twist off.

Features

  • Carbide tool offers long tool life and faster cutting speeds than other substrates.
  • It has higher hardness but is more brittle.
  • Carbide material with good cutting performance, can ensure high work efficiency.

Wide Applications

Used for semi-finish and finish cutting of stainless steel, alloy steel, cast iron, titanium alloy, non-ferrous metal, copper, plastics. Suitable for drilling abrasive materials when drilling accuracy must be maintained.

Can be used in high temperature drilling applications. Adapt to several kinds of cooling conditions, such as oil mist, water, oil, air cooling.

Tips

The longer the length of the tool clamped by the chuck, the better. If the clamping length is shorter, you need to lower the feed rate and cutting speed to reduce vibration and extend the tool life.

Combined with the material to be processed, select an appropriate feed rate and cutting speed to improve the tool life and obtain better processing accuracy and performance.

Drill through tough metal with no issues

I had to remove a screw on my air rifle but the Allen wrench slot was stripped out and because I had blue lock tite on the screw there was no way it was coming out. I have a screw removal kit with left hand cobalt bits but the bit went dull inside of 10 minutes. A titanium coated bit did the same. I was crossing my fingers when I put this bit in my drill but, to my great relief, I saw a profusion of metal scewings come out with just a little pressure on the drill. I used the retractor bit and the screw came right out. I bought these bits in other sizes and put them in my removal kit. I recommend.

I decided that mentioned Hardness: 91HRA is good enough to drill through broken bolt extractor. Alas, it was able only to scratch a little.

It was not recommended to use these in a drill, but I did and it worked just fine with my cordless Black & Decker. I needed to drill out some rusted screws from the hinges on a door frame and nothing worked but these. I tried cobalt drill bits, but they didn’t even make a dent. Using very slow speed on the reverse setting these started to peel the metal from the screws in seconds. I then used a left handed screw extractor to back out the remaining part of the screw from the wooden door frame. With patience, I was able to get the job done!
