The suction cup won’t stick so getting a perfect circle isn’t easy

This thing is cheap. The piece that holds the cutting wheels on the device is cheap and the cutting wheels break off or will fall off randomly.. Could have at least used some kind of hard metal to create the piece that holds the wheels. Instead, you have something that is almost like plastic. Caused me to shatter 2 pieces of $40 glass because it wasn't scoring correctly.

I'll cut straight to the chase here.Very cheap feeling - you get what you pay for with these cutters. I'm surprised that one reviewer said this was as good as a more expensive one they use in their class! The centre pivot is very stiff - not at all free-flowing. This stiffness gets worse when clamped to glass with the suction cup. The stiffness then reveals another flaw in this cutter, namely the amount of free play where the bar is joined to the centre pivot. I fear the stiffness will only make this worse with repeated use.The stiffness makes cutting smaller diameter circles incredibly difficult and two hands are required to push the bar and the cutter knob - putting a lot of faith in the suction cup holding! There is absolutely no way you can cut the claimed minimum 6cm circle with this by pushing the knob due to the force required. This brings me to the knob on the cutter - absolutely no feeling of positivity here - its an incredibly loose fit and wobbles all over the place.Quality control is an issue too. Poorly moulded parts and bits of plastic still hanging on from the moulding process. To add insult to injury, mine was supplied with one of the 6 cutter blades missing!!I will be returning this. One positive is that it does actually cut glass! - Hence 2 stars! In the mean time I have bought a Silberschnitt Circle Cutter - yes it's much more money but the huge difference in quality and ease of use is well worth it in my opinion.

There are only metric markings on this. The description says 120cm (47”) which led me to believe there was both.

I was a bit apprehensive but it does the job really well. Make sure the screw on the measuring gauge is tighten up and double check the suction, but it is as good as the more expensive version I use at my class. Requires the path of the cutter oiled before use. Ideal for my needs at home studio. I cut mostly 3mm bullseye glass with it.

Works exactly as described. First time out of the box I cut 2 mirrors with no problem- thin sheet mirror, of course.

Down side - it does not come with instructions; each circular cutter has it's own way of operating! Until I realized I had to TIGHTLY tighten down the screw washer underneath the ball handle, I was getting overlapping edges to the circle as the cutting arm was moving as it rotated around the glass. Once I made sure the washer was VERY TIGHT, it worked like a champ!! Love it!

Worth a try to repair a barometer and see how glass cutting fits with my skill set.

works well but there is no definitive marks to know where to stop on the Cm scale for measurement. I first converted the Metric reading I needed then set the wheel where I thought it read on the gauge. I had to trial and error on measuring from the suction cup to the cutting wheel. As much as I will use this, I guess the cost offsets this extra step needed.
