Amazon - why do you add nonsense to the 'Rate features' section of your review tool? What does 'warmth' or 'sheerness' have ANYTHING to do with a solid state relay? HahaAnyway - this relay works fantastic for the $12 I spent. My use case: 2019 Tesla Model 3Tesla used to provide a 12v switched lead off of the VC_Left board in the car, but this was turned off in a software update about a year ago. Thus myself, along with several Tesla owners online, started rooting for a new 12v switched circuit. We quickly found one but its a VERY low .4a load. To turn things like aftermarket amplifiers, radar detector, dashcams etc on, this is nowhere near enough -- and where this type of relay is a godsend. But to be clear - the SENSING VOLTAGE on many relays is far too high (4-5a or higher). I tried 3 different SSRs before finally finding one that worked - e.g. the ASH-10DD relay. This relay worked like a charm AND includes an LED so you know when it's receiving a strong enough lead voltage.I have only had it installed for a week, but it solved the 12v switched issue in my Model 3. I am using the original VC_left lead (used to be switched, now it's not) as the main power source and the 'thin brown wire' next to VC_left as the trigger wire. VC_Left supports 10a and has a software trip at 15a, so this is plenty for the REMOTE_ON for all of my devices: 1) Valentine One 2) JL Audio HD1200/1 3) Mosconi AS100-4 4) Mosconi Pico 2 5) Mosconi 6to8.TLDR: low sensing voltage FTW. Worked like a charm! Hopefully it withstands the test of time.

I used this relay to add LED lights to the side steps on my Jeep Wrangles. Perfect for this application as the dimming function of the trigger circuit would not work with a mechanical relay. It would have been nice to have some written instructions but I worked it out.

I used this to repair the tail lights on my girlfriend's 2009 Volvo XC90. Her tail lights failed, but her center high mounted stop light still worked. A mechanical relay had too much current draw and didn't work properly, but this one worked like a charm. It has been operating in both cold and warm weather for around 4 months. This is a great product at a great price. It would have cost thousands to fix at the dealer and I didn't want to see her put that much money into a car that is only worth around $4000. I fixed it for around $50 using this relay.
