I really liked this size for my RC car taillights but it is a 2S battery which means 2x4.2V at the highest and these are rated for 3-5V. So...need to buy and test to see if it melts. :)I was able to run it successfully at 8.4V and all the way up to 15V but it gets hot very quickly over 10V. At 8.4V the resistor was quite warm but not uncomfortable to hold after 10 minutes of running at these inflated voltages.They are also plenty bright for small illumination needs and perfect for my use case. They do ramp up in brightness from the low-end at like 2V up to around 5-6V but don't seem to get much brighter after that. They case a red circular somewhat faint image on the wall at around 3 feet away if that helps understand the brightness as well as the above image taken during the day but in a darker room.
