I bought Delrin specifically because of its reputation for being durable. Unfortunately, this particular product had voids in five spots throughout its length. Unfortunately, because of the flu, I did not notice the inferior quality until it was too late to return this useless piece of plastic.

I used this for a threaded mount on EFI mount for air cleaner. The goal to eliminate RF interference. Was a success. I was able to cut threads and worked well. Pro tip. Chill the rod in the freezer before cutting the threads.

So let me be honest this was a complete fail for what i needed. BUT it's not the products fault it's amazons. they don't care what you are looking for they will try and sell anything even if it's not what you need. I bought this under the search results of "rubber dowing rod" and "heat resistance" because the rubber screw that cushioned the impact of the metal windows of our hot case doors broke and so I figured since it's impossible to find a rubber screw a rod would work I'd just have to cut it. but what I got was a plastic rod (which is EXACTLY what the seller said it was again not there fault it's amazons)
