Very poor product quality. I installed this part and the right side tie rod on my Mercedes in October 2013. I purchased new tires in May 2014 and the tech installing the tires told me that I needed new tie rods. I looked and ALL FOUR ball joint boots on both ends of each tie rod were torn. The original tie rods lasted over 120,000 miles and the boots were still intact. These didn't last 10,000 miles.

This tie rod was a perfect replacement on my old benz, and now it's back to the great handling vehicle it was meant to be.. It fit correctly and is made well.. at a great price.

I bought this assembly as an replacement for the original (with 220,000 Miles). The first thing if you want to replace both sides, that you run into is, that you have to sit down and scratch your haed for a while to figure out which one goes to what side.Would be nice if they where painted as the Lemfoerder or the OE parts. They have part numbers etched on one side. Unless you have a computer with internet underneath your car, you can't verify.By taking the old one out and testing the direction of the thread you can compare and conclude which is what. Now here is a bummer! As I installed the driver side assembly and got ready to apply the appropriate torque to the nut, I noticed that I didn't get anywhere. The nut was standing still. My first thought, this can't be. Did I really strip the thread? I haven't even applied enough force to do that.I took it back out and visually inspected the thread, which had pretty much all of the nut on it.The nut stripped by almost just looking at it.This is a real safety issue, I don't care if it is a $500 tie rod or just a $20Imagine you think that this is it and don't bother to recheck. The tie rod is not properly seated yet because the nut stripped before that. You drive off and after a few miles you loose the nut. A few more bumps and this thing falls off.At this point you lost pretty much control over your vehicle. This is unacceptable!!!!I managed to clean out the metal from the tie rod thread and re-used my old nut, which I hate doing since the plastic stop ring is all gone. Tightened the tie rod to proper torque and completed the job.Unless URO Parts is getting their Quality assurance straight, I do not recommend this part at all, due to the above safety issues involved.

Easy to install, probably easier to replace the entire assemble than just the inner of outer. And if the inner of outer are in bad shape the other is no far behind. With the price of this, just replace it all and be done with it.
