For the last 3 to 4 months my truck would start running like crap and I would pull the plugs and find that a couple had accumulated water /coolant and oil in their recessed areas fouling the plug(s) out. For the life of me I couldn't figure out what the hell was going on I didn't see any tracks or water trails that would cause such an excess of fluid to build up. Finally after watching a you tube video about Ford misfires I concluded that my intake gasket and manifold were the cause. So after looking at the other auto parts web site (rock auto) and checking their prices out and delivery date I went with Amazon the price was compairable to the other site but no delivery charges and 2 days vs. almost a week for the other guys + delivery charges of almost $20 more dollars. So it was a no-brainer instalation was a breeze about 6 hrs and I live here in the Northwest so that 6hrs was outside in the rain and cold plus getting dark towards the end . But ohh what a difference it made night and day she's got power, sounds great and gas milage is almost what it was when new 5 stars 2 thumbs up and a wink******UPDATE*******So I'm into almost the fourth month after installing the manifold and coming home, rush hour traffic, and ping hiss I hear from my engine compartment check the dails nothing amiss. About a mile down the road steam is coming out my hood rear of the cab everywhere I'm talking clouds. Pull over and went looking for a blown hose couldnt find a thing wrong but I wasnt chancing driving it home. So called the auto club they sent a tow truck ($80.00=19 miles)( and thats after I helped him dig out his tow truck from the mud he tried to drive over instead of backing up 20 more feet) anyway it was that plug in the back that blew so I'm going to try what he did tap and plug then clamp it.

Great so far but get a hose clamp for the cap if you need to use it

Installed on a 2009 F150 4.6L. There’s a port on the right rear of the manifold that doesn’t get used in this application, and there aren’t any instructions as to what it does. They put a cap with a lightweight clamp on it, which led me to believe it was a vacuum source. It wasn’t. 4 miles into the test drive and it popped off, showering the engine compartment with coolant. I ended up tapping threads into the port and epoxying a pipe plug in it.The bolts they provided were insufficient quality. I broke three of them off tightening them by hand with a 1/4” ratchet. The one bolt I could remove was replaced with a leftover factory fastener. Bear in mind; there are no threaded holes in this manifold other than for the throttle body; you’re installing the bolts into the plastic towers that hold the EGR, coils and fuel rail onto it. Does it fit and function? Yes, just don’t expect to get through the install without a hiccup caused by the design and quality of the fasteners provided.

Great replacement intake for my high mileage F150. A couple of things to note (and improve upon) 1. There are no instructions, I've have done the intake job before so I knew how things came apart and together. 2. there is a nipple in the back corner of the manifold that is blocked off with a rubber cap and cruddy clamp. If you are not using that coolant connection and need to keep it blocked off REPLACE the clamp with a better one. The one it comes with does not have the strength to hold the cap on under system pressure. If you are needing to replace your manifold and are on a budget this will do just fine.Update 8/3/21: Intake is working just fine. The thermostat included in the kit just failed and is stuck closed. Replaced with an oem Motorcraft thermostat and things are working again.
