This a perfect fitting cover for Octagon Sand Box. It does an outstanding job keeping the sandbox very clean.
You can put something like a beachball or an upside-down bucket in the center of the sandbox under the cover to keep the rain water from pooling in the center.
Please kindly note this is a cover only, the sandbox is not included.

This sand box does not actually have a bottom. It has a plastic tarp like liner that goes under the sand. So the box is not going to stay put. Had to use rebar inside the box to hold it in place. Then the wind blew the top around and snapped the thin poles holding it up.Also no sand box cover fits this design. We bought one to customize it, but it didn’t work right and became a water holder. Our granddaughter never got to use it before it fell apart.Too late to return - avoid at all costs.

Even with creating a structure under the cover to resist the water from sitting on it, water still gets into box. The string doesn’t fit tight enough to full seal it from most insects. Need to be thicker material to avoid water getting through.

I haven't had it on the sandbox very long but seems to hold up way better than the one our sandbox came with.

The quality of this tarp is pretty decent, as for how thick it feels + being rainproof/weather resistant. However, it does not tighten/cinch like it should, meaning the tarp does not stay in place unless you put sand bags on the edges or something heavy to keep it from blowing. I will say our sandbox is smaller than the size of this tarp, so maybe if it was just the right size & had an edge for the tarp to snag on when cinched, it would stay better? But the cinching seems to loosen very easily regardless & like I said, does not go as tight as it needs to in order to be effective.

This sandbox cover is much larger than listed. We measured very carefully prior to ordering and there is tons of room, way too much. I’ve tightened the drawstring as much as possible and it still flaps off in the wind. It’s used now so I expect I can’t return it. Disappointing for a $50 item.

The draw string didn’t hold well so I added toe dow straps to keep It on. Had it about 6 months the weather has really worn IG down and the wind ripped it. Way too expensive for only 6 or less months of use.
