These earrings are smaller than they appear in the pictures. Of course, the pictures are zoomed in and are actually 0.32x0.47 inches (even smaller than a dime- as shown in picture). The earrings are stainless steel with silver plating and decorated with multi-colored cubic zirconias, not rhinestones like another reviewer mentioned. The eyes are also created with enamel. Although the earrings are small, they are still beautifully made and considered hypoallergenic, nickel-free, and lead-free. Having the choice to select a warm card, connected to the earrings, for either your daughter, grand-daughter, or niece with a nice and loving quote will help uplift the person up. Not only do you have to get these for those specific people, but also for yourself or anyone else you want (you would just have to remove the card).Even with me giving 4 stars, I recommend these still be bought especially for little girls with their first piercings (or not), for people with a second hole, those who like smaller stud earrings, or huge unicorn fans.

Our 7 year old granddaughter loved them. She has sensitive ears so this was a good choice.
