Love these chef coats, but they’ve changed over the years. The material is stiff. They’ve added slits to the bottom of each side, which is annoying if you wear a shirt underneath in a different color that is not tucked in. The medium fit perfectly, but after a normal wash and dry, the material gets tight around the shoulder blades, so when you are stretching your arms out, it’s not a good fit anymore for moving. It’s already a boxy chef coat, which I dont care about, but if I move up to a large, I will probably be swimming in it, even after a wash/dry cycle. Disappointed. These have been my favorite chef coats for more than a decade. Should have left things alone - the material is different now. What a shame. I imagine washing it with vinegar over time would soften it up, but still - losing the mobility in the arms/shoulder blades after so many washed makes it not worth it.

The coat was quite stiff when I first got it, took about ten washes/wears to really get it worn down and comfortable. It's a little on the thicker side too but honestly, that made it perfect for me since I'm working in pastry and need to be in and out of the freezer. Since it is thicker it also protected me from quite a few almost burns.Fit well, would order it again.

As soon as I opened the package I was amazed at the quality of fabric. I have had several chef coats from long sleeves to short sleeves. The last short sleeve ones I had were such thin material you could see thru them.. they were also in white and not from this company. This is not what I would call light fabric but the quality will outlast the others. The fit is perfect, no bulkiness in the middle when your apron is on. Perfect cut to flare at the hips to allow movement without everything ridding up and having to adjust. Finally found a coat that fits me perfectly can't wait to put my logo on it and get more.

I originally ordered a medium based on the reviews. I’m usually a small in chef coats. Wear a medium in tshirts. I’m 5’6” 135lbs size 34B chest. I ended up returning the medium and purchasing a small. The small fits me much better. The medium was quite large and had way too much shoulder room. I could actually get away with an extra small. The small fits good. It’s still roomy. I have plenty of stretch in the shoulder/arm area. The fit of these coats are more suited towards men I believe but they still work well for women. They’re a little “boxy” but the material is quite nice. Durable and thick. Buttons are good too. The length is good too. Overall very nice coat for the price. I’m going to get a second one. It would’ve been helpful for me to see some reviews with actual heights and weights with the sizes purchased so that’s why I’m writing this.

I normally wear a women's large. I am 5' 8" and have a 36 DD chest. The large fit perfectly. The only problem I have is that the sleeves are stitched in such a way that lifting my arms lifts the entire shirt up. Its long, so I'm not sporting a midrift, but for some, that could be annoying.Kinda typical for this type of chef coat. It's medium weight, and i cook in southen California, so I'm happy to find a short sleeve coat that isnt thin and cheap, yet also not heavy.After doing tons of research on Amazon, I feel like i made the best choice for the price. If i wanted an $80 coat, I would get something else, but this one is just fine.If you go to their website (Google the manufacturer) you can see the actual sizing chart, and I would suggest you do that before you pick your size. But then order from Amazon, it's a better deal and better shipping, if you have Prime.I would order again.
