This low height unbleached bone saddle fits many Alvarez Artist Series guitars with undersaddle pickup. The saddle is compensated for improved intonation. The radius is set at 16 inches to match many Alvarez fretboards and improve playability.
Please note that each guitar is slightly different and your bone saddle may need adjustments to the height, length, or thickness, which you can do with the included sandpaper.

This is a high-quality, made in USA, natural bone compensated saddle. It's a near drop-in replacement for my Alvarez RD 20-SC. I had to sand it a little thinner and take a tiny amount off the sides. This saddle makes a noticeable improvement in tone over stock plastic bridges. I highly recommend it!One important note, though. My original Alvarez plastic saddle (with under-saddle pickup) was too low (8mm), which created a very slight (but noticeable) fret buzz on low E. I recommend measuring your existing action at the 12th fret and measuring your existing saddle before ordering, to make sure you get the best possible fit. If you are not sure, then I recommend buying the 9mm version they sell. In my case, I needed about 8.5mm. Sanding a half a mm takes less than a minute and that slight difference in height is enough to remove any buzz. Note that they send you a piece of sand paper. Just glue it to a small piece of scrap wood and you can easily get a flush custom fit.

I ordered the lower-heigh size, marked as for guitars with an undersaddle pickup, thinking it would save me a little time sanding the bottom down. I should have known better ... anyways it was too short. My fault not theirs. MacNichol sent me a taller replace for free, even though I made clear that the fault was mine. Very old school customer service, wow! I highly recommend this seller.
