Just a few tweaks with the gasket and it fitted to my Komado grill without a problem.

This is great for a classic Joe. Fits perfectly. The metal is solid. I highly recommend this over the stock daisy wheel.

Seemed very cheaply made. Also, it did not fit, even when the felt liner was completely removed. Poor construction overall. I ended up putting my old daisy wheel back on. Save your money..

The original top vent control for the Komodo Joe lock up almost after the first use due to grease and the overly tight machined tolerances (and genreally that is a good thing). This replacement still shields from rain if you get caught out grilling in a storm, and is easy to adjust. Careful as the two parts are not physically conntected and I am not sure if the cast metal will withstand a drop.

Lost my old one to a bad drop and I just slapped that in with the instructions provided. Works like a charm. The other one was probably dirtier than it should've been so it's nice to have a brand new one on top of my Kamado. :)

This is a great improvement over the spin wheel type that came with my Big Joe I. Now, I do really want the KJ Kontrol Tower, but those are out of stock everywhere and likely discontinued for sale except with a series 2 or 3.The temp control of this unit is great and love the big numbers. Perfect for noting combos to achieve temps in various conditions. Overall I am very very pleased.

This thing sticks and better have an object to hit it with so it will move. This isn't the real Kamado Joe Tower like it said it was. The grill can't get over 490°F no matter what lump coal you use and I even make my own which gets even hotter than the store bought. You can get it almost 900 with the top off but as soon you put the top back on the temp drops so fast under 500 degrees. What a waste of money on what I was told was a tried and true product.

All of the interior paint melted on the first 400 degrees cook. Not a big deal because it peeled off so easily. The exterior paint still looks great.
