Best guitar stand ever. Folds up, travels without losing pieces. I take it to every gig.

I use this Ultimate Guitar stand for my electric bass. A friend of mine who played professionally for years swore by these stands, and gave me one he had used for ages. That Ultimate stand had been used so much that the rubber feet had worn out but the stand still works great. So when I wanted a new stand, of course I went with the Ultimate GS-200+.I myself prefer stands where the guitar 'sits' in a supporting cradle (as opposed to 'hanging' by the top of the guitar). This stand is rock solid steady sitting on the floor. The pads all feel like velvet where it touches the guitar. The fact that the stand folds almost flat for transportation is a real bonus. My older Ultimate stand has a turn and unturn lock to put the legs into position. This new model GS-200+ has a button you push to alternately lock and unlock the legs to fold, and a red/green indicator to tell you visually whether the legs are locked or not BEFORE you put your precious guitar on the stand. Built into the part of the stand where the neck rests are a few slots where you can store picks for quick access (I don't use a pick but it is a feature!).About the best recommendation I can give for this stand is that, when my bass is sitting in the Ultimate, I have NO worries about it.

Ultimate Support products are great, no issues there. On the other hand, Absolute Pro (the seller) and Ontrac (the shipper) are nightmares to deal with. 20 days to fulfill an order and zero tracking info. I reached out to the seller and got no response. Ridiculous. Do yourself a favor and buy from another seller. They have permanently lost my business.

The push button locking mechanism totally failed after just three months, rendering the unit useless for holding any guitar. Seller's 30 day return policy of customer non-service was a huge disappointment. I reached out to manufacturer who immediately sent a replacement. The original unit had a minor machining defect not apparent in the replacement. Highly recommend this quality product, just not from this seller.

This is actually my 2nd guitar stand of this style. I like that it locks into position & doesn’t collapse by itself. The neck support was super important for me. We travel a lot & this stand folds down nicely & stores in little space. Great overall guitar stand for either a big acoustic or a smaller electric guitar.

This is by far the best stand if you have a HEADLESS bass or guitar. Keep in mind that the small fold down arms are about 10" apart. That could be too wide for some of the narrow body instruments like Steinberger makes. I have a Kiesel Vader VB5 headless bass that fits perfectly. I did have to bend the yoke a bit wider to accommodate the wider neck, but it is not too difficult to spread them with your hands. The stand will also accommodate other guitars and basses that are not headless. What I love about this stand is how stable it is compared to all the A style stands that sit on the floor. The Ultimate Supports stand is solid enough, sturdy, compact, and is of very good quality. Love it! Update... I have now played several gigs using my new Ultimate Supports GS200 + stand. I have also used it on several basses, although I bought it primarily for my headless Kiesel VB5 bass. I knew right away that the stand was stable, but now that I have used it at work, I am even more pleased with it. UPDATE one year later. So it's been around 100 gigs since I bought the GS200. It broke! The plastic parts are not the toughest or most durable. I have a Hercules stand as well and it must be about 20 years old now, and has been with me on hundreds if not thousands of gigs. It's my favorite stand, but it is not compact like the Ultimate Supports stand and it won't hold my headless bass. (Just so you know.) IF you decide to buy an Ultimate Supports stand, just remember to take it easy on it. No tossing it in the car. I'm pretty sure that is what happened to mine. I have also got a GS 100 that has done hundreds of gigs with me, and it has lasted, but that stand requires a bass with a headstock.

The bottom isn’t adjustable, so a guitar with a more unique shape could possibly fall through. This is happening with one of our 4 guitars. It’s perfect for the other three!
