this is the dumbest design yet. its noisy,, and not needed.. the contraption holding the guitar is a joke.. the without the moving nonsense the whole stand would turn over long before the guitar ever even came in contact with these stupid flippers. they need to focus on making the locking mechanism more robust and not adding non functional and unneeded contraptions to the the top. i would describe this experience like... well now i know.. not worth the extra money. in fact i would pay more for the GS-100 than the GS-1000... nothing like the stage volume going to 0, middle of switching guitars and the GS-1000 squeaky stupid contraption getting picked up by a stage mic. wont gig this one. leave it on the shelf and buy the GS-100 and continue fussing about the weak locking mechanism

Definitely don’t recommend this product if you’re gigging from place to place would get the one without the mechanical function at the top

The height adjustment slips and I had to put in a permantent screw to keep it up.This makes it less useful for taking it to a gig. Meanwhile the footpads have fall off and I'm worried about it scratching my floor. The only replacement pads I could find don't fit and fall off.

It does fit my bass. It's quite simple to operate/use. One hand is all that is required to place or remove the bass. It was the first of its kind and style I bought, I can't recall when. The way it folds is incredible. It does have some weight to it which might be a sign of quality. The ease of use is undeniable.I only wonder how long the rubber will last. Otherwise, The amount I paid and what I see it listed for seem on the pricier side to me.
