My electrician friend keeps telling m3 I should upgrade my panel, but if I can find these well made breakers to fit my ancient panel box why should I?

First breaker that was sent was damaged, but with a quick phone call the issue was resolved and a replacement was sent ASAP. Second was exactly what I was expecting.

The advertisement for this product states new and never refurbished. The breaker I got is clearly previously used. Just be aware as I'm sure you can find more affordable options since you will be getting a used product.

Very happy. I had to replace one that the springs became weak. I need the replace the FP box soon. Locally these breakers cost $20.00 more. New boxes have breakers for $15.00. Need to upgrade for a safer box with less price breakers.

One big box store (the blue one) had nothing like this in stock and the other one (the orange one) didn't have the right amperage. Even then, the orange store wanted $73 for the 50 amp version. These circuit breakers are for outdated Federal Pacific electrical panels and only electrical supply stores that specialize in these types of things carry them. One of the local electrical supply stores that I did call wanted $5 more than amazon. If it was an emergency, I would have gladly paid the extra $5 to get it immediately, but since it wasn't I just bought it from amazon. Paid the lowest price, and got it within 2-days (thanks Prime), and of course, most importantly, it looks just like the image on amazon and it's working fine! The reason I had to buy a new one is because the wires to the old one were not tightened enough (thanks stupid electrician that installed the previous one) so it was arcing and burnt out the circuit breaker.

Package came on time as always from Amazon. I bought this breaker for an older Federal Pacific panel. The fit was very good as was the quality. As a electrician having worked with these breakers for 40 years they are not the best available and the older ones from the seventies did not have a UL listing which caused the company to go out of business do to many lawsuits arising from breakers that would not trip and causing fires. My advice to anyone is to replace your Federal Pacific breaker panel with a newer panel from any of the major company's that produce panels for residential use.
