Got this for my brother since he recently started streaming, and good lighting makes a big difference. He needed something compact but effective, and this light checks all the boxes. It’s simple to set up. The adjustable arm and clamp make it easy to position on his desk without taking up space, and the light itself provides even, professional-looking illumination. . So I’m not using this as a typical spotlight for video, meetings, etc. but as lighting for a display I have. I’ll say that the quality is pretty good and definitely not cheap feeling. The construction of the plastic material is a nice medium thickness and it has a slight premium feel to it, even if it’s a bit lightweight. The adjustable arm on similar products are usually cheap feeling but this one feels above average.Nice and simple controls and everything locks down tight with minimal play. Color temperature and brightness adjustments are plenty for the situation and the light itself can get pretty bright. The only thing I wish is that the power switch was separate. I wanted to control the light via an outlet switch but if I turn it off at the outlet and switch it back on, the light stays off and light settings reset. But I won’t rock a star for that since it’s really not meant to be used in that fashion.As a stand-alone light for video or even as a desk lamp, this is an extremely solid choice and great value. If I had to buy it again, I would and so I would recommend it.

I bought this because it had all 5 star reviews, but having used it I wonder why people like it so much. The light itself is fine but the arm is not stable at all. It's flimsy and no matter how tight I do up the screws, the light has a tendency to flop down and bounce around. I don't understand why they made the arm out of metal but everything else out of plastic. Every time I adjust it (because it flopped down again) I'm afraid I'm going to break the plastic clamp.

I got this for my daughter as her desk space is limited so a light that didn't take up too much room was what was needed. This fits the bill - slim, low profile and very adjustable arms and lamp head, basically any height or angle you can dream of. The light is very bright and adjustable in brightness (10 levels) and its color temperature can be adjusted so she can use it for doing her makeup or for doing her homework. The clamp is sturdy and expands to a thickness of 3 inches, and again a plus because it doesn't take up space on her desk - she can choose to clamp it on her desk or on the shelf in front of her desk. But most important of all, the light is modern looking and stylish, something a teenager would approve of!
