Old txv on 2009 mariner was making a lot of noise, I believe due to a weak spring. I replaced with this one while replacimg a line. Almost a year later and still works.

Fixes ford high discharge pressure issue which isis accompanied by the condensor/radiator fan running constantly when a/c is on. Further issues may exist if you have desiccant debris in your ststem.
