The battery illuminator that I purchased from this seller did not work with my TYTUV 8000. The reason is because the contacts on his eliminator are not vertically offset. Noticed the contacts of an eliminator built by a TYT eliminator. The contacts are slightly offset the left one is higher than the right one. Nancie Ann

I bought this so I could constantly power the TYT TH-UV8000E as a cross-band repeater. Working great with no issues so far. Be sure to change the power settings on your TYT TH-UV8000E to turn off the battery-saving features so you get the full benefit of this.
