This luggage lock for suitcases/TSA compliance is functional, but the lock seems cheaply made. It's partially plastic, so someone willing to take time could crack this pretty quickly. But someone with enough time (or a TSA key) will get into anything. The combination sets up easily. It's all right.

This is a nice lock. I had a little bit of a hard time setting a new password, but it may just have been user error 😅. Otherwise, after I got it set, the lock works perfectly. It's small and lightweight. I can't wait to put it to use.

Light duty luggage lock, perfect deterrence to close a bag from casual opening but combo means you don't have to worry about keeping a key safe. Easy to set the combo to a desired numeric string. Two thumbs up!

This TSA security lock for my luggage works well. It's easy to set my own combination. I am happy to have one to be able to secure my luggage when travelling that TSA is able to open if needed. I am also happy that it has an alert indicator to reveal to me if they do open the lock. I have not had that happen yet but am glad it's there when it does. Overall, I think it's good for the price of the lock.

In all honesty, the plastic construction of this tsa lock feels really risky, like one knock against the plane wall and it'll break into a million pieces. So I don't think this will last me many flights. But it does the job of locking my luggage while still being tsa team member accessible.

This is a very weak lock. When locked, it can be opened if you pull hard enough. The outer portion is made of plastic, which doesn’t inspire confidence. The combination is displayed along the lock’s outer lengthwise edge. Setting the 4-digit code is simple: turn the lock hook toward the back, press it down, and select the combination you want.The color and appearance of the lock are nice, and the numbers are clear and easy to read. However, I don’t like the placement of the combination display. If you’re using this lock on a locker, it can be difficult to see the combination clearly.Overall, I’m not impressed with this lock and find it ineffective for truly securing your belongings.

UPDATE: As disappointed as I was that I hadn't been able to properly set the original lock I got, I could see that other customers had a better experience with the locks they received.I really liked how light these locks are. I know that also likely makes them weaker — but when backpacking, every ounce counts, and my main goal is deterrence rather than absolute security. (A thief with a pen can likely break open the zipper, anyway. Ugh.) These locks also come in a couple of bright, very noticeable colors. So I took a chance and purchased another lock.I was able to set the second one just fine, meaning the first one was indeed a dud. Argh, but that happens sometimes.Anyway, if you want an ultra-lightweight and high-vis luggage lock primarily for deterrence purposes, this one might be just right for you.ORIGINAL REVIEW:Maybe I got a dud, but I was unable to set this lock, and the mechanism seems broken.Be warned that the instructions here on the sales page are slightly different from those on the insert in the package.Although I have set and used a dozen little luggage locks from other brands before, this one didn't work. Again, maybe this particular unit is a dud, since other people have had better luck... But I'm disappointed.I thought this very lightweight lock would be perfect for backpacking (where weight counts, and the sight of a lock may be enough of a deterrent to get the potential thief to move on to another bag).I only wish this lock had worked for me.
