There were no problems with installing the original Truvativ Giga Pipe Team SL Bottom Bracket after I additionally bought a Park Tool BBT-18 Bottom Bracket Tool for the correct installation from Amazon. The glide is very smooth, I hope it will remain the same through kilometers and kilometers of roads. Also, the protection against dirt looks reliable.

I didn't need to replace the old bottom bracket but I've got all this time, it's been 7 YEARS since I replaced it so I figured I'd do it anyway.Everything looked exactly the same. I did a loose fit just to be sure. I followed the installation instructions downloaded from the website. The left (non- drive side) adapter would NOT fo over the bottom bracket. Even with a light coat of grease as recommended. I tried and tried but there's no way! I was certain there was no way if it wouldn't go on off the bike certainly not on it but I gave it a shot. NO WAY!!After messing with it for about 45 min I gave up.Not a total loss because a light coat of grease and the old adapter fit PERFECT!Just FYI. I will update my review after I put some miles on it

This is my second unit. The original one on my 2003 bike was also this brand and it lasted about 1000 miles of fairly hard mountain biking before it started to develop play. I replaced the 113 original length with a 118. I wouldn't necessarily recommend that, but in my case it seemed to help with my ability to adjust the derailleur without moving the center of my pedal stroke over very much. Keep the spacers from your original if you install a longer one like I did.Update 12/2017: The second Truvativ ISIS BB started to develop some play after about 4000 miles. I just dropped $150 on an SKF BB from compass cycles which has a 10 year warranty, made in Germany by a company specializing in industrial bearings. Hopefully that's the last BB I have to purchase for this bike. It was either that, or buy a Truvativ every year, or dump ISIS altogether and buy a different crank set - costs would probably have been similar either way. I opted for the higher end BB and to keep the original FireX crank.

Replaced my old Truvativ bottom bracket after 23,000 commuter miles. I didn't think I'd find a replacement that would do any better so bought the same one as a replacement. Very good price, and a bargain when you calculate $/mile. New one installed easily and spins super smoothly. Highly recommend.

I don't do a lot of work on my bikes but I do what I can. When I realized my bottom bracket was clicking I bought tools to replace it and this particular model of bottom bracket was a drop in replacement. There was no problem installing it and now that I've had it for a couple of years I can say it still works just fine, maybe only a thousand miles on the bike so far.

This was the first time I needed to replace my bottom bracket on my road bike. I installed this late in the biking season this fall, but was able to ride a handful of times before it got too cold. The bracket is great!
