This set has everything your child needs beyond the helmet, stick, and skates. It's got a bag that holds it all nicely, and the fit is perfect for our tall 8 year old skinny child. The way it fits is flexible enough for shorter and/or stockier kids, too. My kids loves to wear it for things other than hockey/skating, too because it "looks like armor." Everything is durable. There's decent enough padding in all the items.
