When I first received this Log Splitter Cover I was very Pleased the 600Denier Fabric felt thick it was impressive however less then Sixteen months later the Weather had completely destroyed the Cover, it Faded completely from Dark Green to a Pale grayish yellow green, there were Tears on both the Log Spitter Wheels the Front Towing Hitch ( which I did wrap in Foam Rebber so as to make it less prone to tears. Being it is way past Amazon Return Policy I am now stuck with the loss, bottom Line DO NOt Buy This Log Splitter Cover.

It fits good and looks heavier, I did spray four cans of water and sun resistant on it and I really recommend everyone do this for All tarps.

I've had this for 1 year and it tore today when I took it off the splitter. I didn't pull it hard or catch it on something. It just tore very easily like the sun had made it brittle. It was great until today. Was really hoping it would last at least 2-3 years. I think I'll just use a tarp from now on.

I had no idea they made nice covers like this my new splitter has to sit outside now in the rainy Oregon elements and then and this cover is nice high quality cover that will keep it in nice shape.

Compared by ordering 2 covers. Thus one was $15 more but was heavy duty as compared to lighter one I purchased (& returned). Kept this one as I feel it will last a long time.

So I had my cover for about 1 year and it was performing as expected. One day go to take cover off my log splitter and it just tore with little effort. I had assumed that maybe I got a bad cover and contacted the seller. The seller was very responsive and kind enough to send me a replacement. I assume the material wasn't treated with adequate UV protectant as it should have been. Anyway, I love the cover and hope this one stays durable over time.

Update: Ripped and faded to being useless within 9 months. If you have any plans to use this outdoors, look elsewhere. Was removed and replaced onto my splitter less than ten times, so it wasn't overused. Just seems like cheap material. And as I said in my original review, they state that it is fade resistant, but as can be seen in the pictures, it is not. And the cover was only in direct sunlight a little over two hours each day (morning sun also). Changed star rating from 4 to 1.Original Review: This seems very sturdy and of a heavy quality. Word of warning though, bought this as being advertised that it fits a log splitter, but it is a one-size-fits-all for anything that is somewhat that shape (mostly seems to be shaped for a lawn tractor). The multitude of pull strings and velcro straps make it pretty universal and it works well for my splitter. Bought it in late March. Now late May and it is really fading from the sun, and only gets a few direct hours per day. Hoping that it just fades, and doesn't degrade. Will post updates if necessary.

I have speeco 29ton commercial splitter and was concerned that this might not fit do to it being larger than measurements listed. It covered it with ease including tires all the way ground. Material and stich work is of good condition and quality. There's a strap on tail end and tongue that are helpful for securing it to log splitter but would really have loved to seen a strap that went under the belly/beam of the splitter to pull in the excess material and really secure it down. There's two spots with elastic cords to tighten up bottom but do to the length and material they were a real time consumer to tighten up completely. Would highly recommend making more places to tighten the elastic cords just for ease of use. Otherwise it's to early to rate the durability of this cover but will check back after a couple storms and update review at that time.
