If you upgrade all your drive shafts and get the aluminum upgrades, these trucks can last a lifetime. I usually get a part or two when I can afford them. And I upgrade one vehicle at a time, until it's pretty bullet proofed. Doesn't matter if it's a big name like losi or traxxas or arma or a Chinese brand, they usually offer aluminum or steel parts, and they are way better than cheap plastic. Traxxas vehicles upgraded are awesome, but they are alot of work and money. Brushless motors and escs and servos are super fun to bash and race, but they are usually adding double the price of the over all vehicle. Once you have a fully upgraded slash 4x4, you can drive it into a wall and or jump it all day and it's amazing how tuff they can be. But they are long term projects to get there.

It's amazing how great this is compared to the other. Very glad they changed the design. Can not go wrong with this upgrade
