Made my own impact gun trainhorn. This horn is perfect. Its so loud it scared the crap out of me and i was expecting it! This would be perfect for a boat or car installation.

First and foremost, this does not put out enough sound. The tone is great, but nowhere near loud enough. I figured it was lack of voltage so I went ahead and set up an eight gauge wire with a 40 amp fuse tag to a relay and it did not change one bit I had purchased two, one for each vehicle and ended up using both on the same car to try to get some sound. The vehicle of reference is a 2024 Ford F250 and yes, the factory horn is louder than this train horn. Installation was quick and easy.

I installed this horn behind the front bumper of my Ford F-350 super duty, and it worked out well. Followed the seller's directions for wiring without the button. My steering wheel activates the original Ford horn, but when I activate aux 1, then this horn and the original Ford horn sound together. The directions indicate that an 80 amp relay should be used for maximum sound, but a 40 amp relay is furnished. The horn only uses 14 gauge wire so how can you use an 80 amp relay? I contacted the seller about this, but received no reply.

It makes noise. Not a particularly pretty noise, but it does make noise. The tone sucks honestly. One horn is a vastly higher pitch. The tone is generally flat but that smallest one is super sharp causing what would be a glass shattering high pitch sound if this thing were even half as loud as it claims.I did have to upgrade to a 60 amp momentary switch over the one Amazon suggested. That helped. The 15 amp one Amazon recommended prevented it from being any louder than my radiator fan. I’m sure if I had a larger amperage button it would make it louder than the factory ford horn, but at this point I’m just going to buy a real one. The whole reason I bought it was for it to be louder than my factory horn which, by the way, isn’t very loud. Definitely not loud enough for other drivers to hear.So the takeaway is, 12 gauge wire, above 60 amp horn button, and it should be loud enough for others to hear.

The horn works great. It’s absolutely beautiful and loud and gets the action of other drivers that aren’t paying attention. The installation was pretty easy one down side of the product was there wasn’t enough wire to run to where I needed it. All together amazing product.

I should give this a 4 star rating, as it says it is 150 DB. Well not according to my sound meter. It is 130 DB So still quite fun. Now I had no intention of using this on a vehicle. Oh no, I built the "sound blaster 2024" Used an old 14.4 volt cordless drill I had sitting around. The air pump measured just a little bigger in diameter than the guts that I removed. Just a few minutes with a drum sander and perfect fit. Used the trigger and speed control and of course the batteries. Works great!!! VERY loud. Literally only took me 1/2 hour to build this up.No, I didn't come up with the original idea, but this is my spin on it.
