the cage is black. it is a three SPEED fan, not including off! this fan is VERY nice, replaced it for a Dayton. and believe me it is as good as the over priced Dayton. I give it a ten. VERY happy!!!!!!!!!!!

Love this fan. We hung it outside in our gazebo and it circulates a lot of air. Has 3 speeds. Very easy to put together. This item is all black, which we like.We will be buying another to place on other side of gazebo.

Works as expected. Noise level is acceptable, it is in the garage after all.Lowers temperature in garage by 5 or so degrees from outside temp and removes the hot dead air.I open both garage doors, turn on the fan about 8 am and run it until after sundown and the temp starts to drop outside.Would buy again. This one has three speeds, but I only run in on the lower speed. Moves plenty of air.Mounted about 8 feet above the floor and a foot from the ceiling.Best use is when you bring in a hot car and the engine and exhaust system heat is directed outside.

The company accidentally shipped two of these fans to me and I only ordered one. They called to tell me to send it back and I said OK but let's wait and see if this works for my application and I may just buy the other. The sales lady, Jenifer, was pretty rude and acted like I was trying to steal her fan. She called every day wanting to know when I was going to ship the fan back, this over one week max. I told her just to wait a bit until I had time to at least open the box. I put one together as they do not come already assembled and it turns out the fan is three speed not two speed as noted. No huge deal, but I already had this one on the wall and she told me I could not return it if I had already used it. Anyway, I kept both, sent her a check for the 2nd fan, and they seem like they will do the job. Just keep in mind that the sales person at AmeriTemp is rude (of course she is from Indiana), and the fan is not quite like the advertisement states. Also you will need to finish the manufacturing yourself, as the Chinese forgot to finish the job. Basically I kept both because I did not want to go to the trouble of sending them back.

We bought 6 of these fans for our Dining Hall at Camp. our ceiling couldn't hold a traditional fan. So we bought these to mount on the wall. I think this system works better. We positioned the fans so the created a circle pattern in the big hall and it really cools down the place. the are well made and come with all you need mounting brackets, and just plug it in. No hard wiring needed like many of the other fans.
