Well made, rugged and heavy weight, perfect for layering. I have two that I’ve had for years, needed a bigger size.

This was a nice product but it didn't get here on time. We sent it back. We already had one like this and was going to double up when the weather that hit Texas was so unexpected but due to all the ice and everything closed down we didn't get it in time.

Love the material and I'm sure it's warm as anything. Biggest problem I have is that the belly wrap is definitely not long enough. Will not get even close to the velcro for me to use. Unfortunately, this blanket is not meant for large barreled Warmbloods :(

Fit perfectly on my boy and definitely kept him warmer than his other blankets, only thing is the belly band ripped at the lining of the velcro, can be easily stitched but it happened awfully soon after being delivered.

Used it once for 4 hours on my older trail horse. The whole back ripped in half..almost as if the fabric was rotten. Unable to fix it.

I purchased this based on price before reading the reviews. Not my usual m.o. but I was getting a rescue horse and he'd never been blanketed before, so I went for the cheapest option in case he tore it to shreds the first day. Well one week later, he's loving it. I was too, until it rained last night and I now have a wet pink horse. It didn't even rain that hard (less than 1/4") but it soaked through and he got a little damp in 30 degree weather. See pics- the dye ran down his legs- and transferred to my coat as well. Hope it washes out. Fortunately, I had already ordered him a backup blanket, a more expensive one since he's been so good. It is also a Tough 1 but it's supposedly water 'proof' not water 'resistant' (orange/camo - will review that one next week). I do like the belly band design very much, so I gave it an extra 2 stars for that feature alone. I'll be drying it off and updating my review. Almost forgot to mention the disgusting smell when first opened, I had to hang it out on the deck for a week before it stopped smelling like an old wet canvas army duffle bag filled with smelly moldy socks. Fortunately I purchased it well in advance of my horse's arrival. Also, it's a faded brick red color, not that attractive, and it's been fading rapidly. Not that he cares! **update 1/5/2020** left it on the deck to dry for a few days and it faded badly. Downgrading my rating. There's no reason for this. Whether it's on my deck railing or on my horse, they're both in the sun. Disappointed!

Fit is great. Wide belly band great. Strong velcro straps great. However it ripped within 1 week. Not strong canvas/more like material. Elastic straps were great.

I just love this blanket, does not shift, and no rub spots. However the day after putting it on my horse the back strap snap snapped and broke. Lower quality snaps, but is to cold to send back, lol so will just swap the snaps out later. Nice product, if you hate your blanket shifting I strongly recommend this blanket!!
