I hung this from a palm tree on my property, and directed it towards a table. It is quite powerful, even on the lowest speed, and the air movement not only cools you down, but it also gets rid of mosquitoes, which are quite extensive in South Florida. I recommend it. Now, lets see how long it lasts being subject to water and humidity!

I got this fan for our screened patio. There are only a few places we could attach something to the ceiling and a full overhead fan that was centered in the space was not an option.This outdoor fan had good reviews and 360 rotation on one axis. So I figured I could use it off to the side blowing toward the seating area. Well 360 on one axis (up down) is good but what if you want to turn it left and right? So I bought a big gate bracket from home depot, painted it black and put a bolt though the center of the bracket to attach the fan. Now it's 360 rotation in two axes, and can be pointed in any direction. They should honestly just sell it this way.Anyway this thing moves some serious air and that's exactly what we needed in the Florida summer. Sure it's no substitute for AC, but it can make June feel a bit more like April if you are out there under it.The build quality seems solid even though it feels lightweight. I've not seen any rust yet, though its located where water never gets directly on it.It not quiet. It's about as loud as your typical box fan on the lowest setting. But if you are more concerned about cooling than noise this fan is a beast. If I'm working in the yard in the summer and too messy to go inside it's a nice respite to cool down and then get back to work. The noise is the only reason didn't say 5stars.

I use these in my dog kennels. Lots of hundred degrees days here in Kansas and pop up storms. No fear of them getting wet or shocking a pet. They run non stop spring through fall. No issues.

This is perfect for are outside gazebo, can hang in corner or straight down from ceiling. Seems powerful, durable, multiple speeds, and so far great performance. So far so great!

This fan has been a life saver for the chickens in our backyard pen. It is powerful and quiet. We were able to hang it securely from the top of the run to blow down on them. Has so far been water proof and functions well.

I bought this fan to circulate air in a greenhouse, and I wanted it to be connected to our home automation. After experimenting, I discovered that the electrical box on the fan would just barely fit an Enbrighten Z-Wave fan controller inside and still have room for the fan's capacitor. After some work, I got it to fit and work excellent. I have the controller connected to the medium wire on the fan so it can run at extra-low speed for light, nearly silent circulation. It works great.Out of the box, I really appreciated the build quality. It comes with a power cable with an electronic safety, which is nice, but the safety switch resets and disconnects power to the fan in any power loss to the safety switch. The fan is properly grounded, and a separate ground wire connects the box to the motor.The fan has two bolts on the sides for tensioning the movement of the fan's angle, and it includes two plastic knobs to adjust it, but the knobs do not fasten to the fan. They came loose with twist ties around them. It would make more sense if they could be fixed to the tensioning bolts, and I suppose they could be adhered somehow.
