I love the dynamic tension of these straps, I had to transport a tub shower enclosure that was two pieces assembled together. Used these straps and they kept taking up the slack as I drove home. From the start I thought they were tight and by the time I got home the load had shifted due to the shape. But there was still tension on the straps when I got to the destination.

From reviews I've seen to the ads they play, I was really hoping these would be a great addition to my hauling kit.For light vehicle (ATV/UTV) hauling these work pretty well!* The gates on the hooks are great for preventing it from un-hooking accidentally* The spring action works well to absorb bumps and shifting of the suspension without unlatching* They are a pretty gentle hold so they don't put too much strain on the vehicleBUT, DO NOT EXCEED THE LOAD RATING* they can only be tensioned to around 140 pounds reliably!* Heavier loads WILL shift - the low overall tension prevents tightening to levels that will properly hold larger loads.Unfortunately, they fall short for certain load types. For easily shifting loads (like boxes and stacks of material like often shown in their adds):* They claim they can be easily tensioned tighter than a ratchet strap - this is flat out BS, In every try I did, the cam would slip on the strap preventing additional tightening WELL before I'd even consider it "tight". Even with "standard duty" hardware store brand ratchet straps I was able to get straps substantially tighter and better restrict the load from moving.* The springs only provide a couple inches of tension, so yes it can handle a VERY MINOR load shift, but anything major and the strap is loose (and given that you can't get it all that tight to begin with, it pops loose very quickly)All in all, It's true that these were able to compensate for some minor load shifting, but at least for any serious hauling, properly applied and tensioned straps would have PREVENTED that load shifting alltogether. These shine for ATVs / UTVs since they can move with the bumps and shifting of suspension, but for general load purposes (i.e. recycling, moving, boxes, etc....) these aren't the right solution.

Just used this for 1st time to tie down my DR-650 inside a trailer. Previously used the Rhino straps. Ratchets are a pain and it always bounced loose. These were super easy and it’s very secure. The design with the integrated spring is genius. Game changer.
