Bought for my 3 year old for skating and they are a game chamber. He’s too small for hockey pads so these are perfect.

These were a great fit for my 9-year-old. She is approximately 5 feet tall and 100 lbs. She wears a size XL (10/12) in girls shorts at popular retailers like Target and The Children’s Place. I got these for her so that she would be more confident rollerskating. However, she has yet to try them out with skates. The padding seems like it would really help reduce pain and bruising during falls, and wearing the shorts helps illicit confidence. The padding also seems slim enough to fit under baggy shorts or loose skirt without being super noticeable.

Product seems well enough made but to only covers your butt. Ok for tailbone protection but not hips or where you usually crash at all.

This short must be the easiest to wear and remove.Wearing the proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is of utmost importance when rollerblading, this padded short has zippers along the thigh that allows you to wear on top of your pants without having to remove your skates, knee pads, shin pads, shoes or boots. On top of that, the padding is really good without being overly aggressive looking, better said, kids are not ashamed of wearing it and most definitely feel grateful when they land on the pavement, and they do not feel excruciating pain.Material is very elastic and adapts well to your silhouette, stays in place when skating and can resist a few falls without breaking or pulling fabric.XS size fits great girls from 5 years through 8, small frame.I'll be ordering a second pair of shorts to be all protected.Very well recommended. For those who wonder if this short can be worn inside pants. You may but will be too bulky.

My 6 yr old granddaughter is learning to use inline skates. She's doing real well, and has knee, elbow, and wrist pads. She was skating on a large cement pad area and fell backwards. She came in saying she has pads for everything but her butt. I found these for her. They are a little bulky, but do privide great padding. We followed the instructions, measuring here waist and went with the Medium. It does fit. Seems true to size. She's doing better and better skating. I was waiting for a report when she fell back again, but that hasn't happened yet. But she's ready when it happens.

I ordered these for my small 5 year old and the small fits loosely. She is nearing 40lbs for sizing reference and should be able to wear for a year or two. The padding seems good and she is able to move freely in them and does not seem to hinder the sports we are doing. We are using them for snowboarding and ice skating. Snowboarding is brutal to the tailbone when you are learning and these are a must have.

This is probably my fault for ordering kids shorts, but the reviews made it seem like they were much bigger than advertised because 200+ lb men fit into the Large size. They do run way larger than listed, and size chart is totally wrong. I have a 25” waist which is XL according to the chart, but went with size S. They arrived and are more like an adult XS. Still not understanding how full grown men were fitting into L.Anyway, sizing aside, the flaw with the design of these shorts is that they don’t cover your tailbone nor the bottom part of your but that touches the floor when you sit! This defeats the point because that area needs the most protection from falls. The foam is thin and might be ok for kids but def not high impact enough for adults.

I have another version of some impact shorts and they are just so BULKY. This one is actually slim.Sure, it might sacrifice a little bit of protection. It might still hurt if you land on your butt. But what's better? The huge bulky ones that I'll never wear, or the slimmer ones that I will wear and will offer some protection?I won't even touch the larger ones because of how ridiculous it would make me look. So these are great.Even though it says children's sizing, it definitely fits an adult with the stretchy material.

I'm not going to lie, I am not the traditional market for these because I'm not a kid but I got these as an experiment. I am an early 30s, 6 ft 240 lbs man, and I got the Large size. I got these because I go running outdoors in a winter climate, and with winter comes ice. And I thought these might be a nicer undergarment to have in case I take a tumble on my backside, which has happened before... and hurts at my age!Sizing/fit: You're probably thinking there is no way a children's large fit me, honestly I was expecting that to be the case myself eyeballing it. It was a tight fit, but it worked. I'm not going to gripe about this because I know that this is specifically for kids, and I'm not a kid. Hey, I'm just glad it actually fit! The wonders of Spandex.Looks: I'm going to be using this as an undergarment so I'm not too concerned with looks, but it looks like the picture. The padding is on the back/butt, there are two zippers on the front to take them off easily I guess (I won't be trying those at my size).Pads/Features: The pads are of okay size, about what I expected. For a kid for most sports, they are probably adequate, and I'm hoping they'll be adequate enough for me. There is no zipper fly in front, but this is a unisex so I suppose that's not too surprising. As stated before, the pads seem to protect the butt/tailbone area fine, but there are no pads in front.Washing: The tag stays this can be machine washed which is good, but this contradicts the description on the product page. The only thing that concerns me is removing the pads - they are stitched in pretty well. There is a small hole in the center on each pad, and this is spandex so maybe you can take the pads out that way? I am not sure, but I'd imagine that wouldn't be particularly easy given the size of the holes.Overall, I have not tested these yet and I am not the target demographic for these so I do not know how long they'll last me, nor will I blame anyone if they don't last me too long. But so far I am just glad they fit me, and they seem to be as described. My only concerns if I was getting this for a child would be lack of front/thigh protection depending on the sport they're playing (though this should be no surprise reading the description), and getting these washed. Otherwise, if these can fit me that's a great sign, and so far I think that these are solid.
