NOTE:

  • If you’ve already experienced engine stalling, poor acceleration, and a check engine warning light, then you need to have the secondary air injection pump checked out immediately.
  • The function of the secondary air injection pump is to allow air to be pumped into the exhaust, helping to put enough air into the mixture to burn when the engine fires again, which can make fuel burn more fully. When the secondary air pump has the following faults: the fault light is on, and the fault code appears. This means you can replace the secondary air jet pump.

The item stated it would fit a 2004 BMW 325xi, but the hose fittings are wrong, the distance from the engine attachment is wrong, the filter element on the top is not the same and the windshield washer tank is in the way. Should have returned it but the item was modified to fit. I was able to make it work, but it should have been an easy install except for the difference from the original.

This was an exact replacement for the original BMW air pump. It bolted right in, the plug is identical, and it worked perfectly. AND the price was excellent!
