The adhesive won’t stick on

This is a handsome pack of panels that is relatively slim. It comes with adhesives so you can attach the panels to the wall. This is probably your best option for panels of this thickness. The material is strong enough. The bevels are done well, the corners are at right angles. This thickness is going to help you reduce internal reflections but they aren't able to greatly reduce sound penetration through a wall.

I suspect that they help but it’s hard to tell. They are sexy though, and it is that sexiness that makes me approve of their presence….mostly

I got these acoustic panels on the walls in our music rooms and they really help with containing the noise inside the room. I can still hear inside the room when I'm outside the of it, but overall they have helped a ton. They came packed well and they are easy to put right up, would recommend!

These panels are awesome! My computer room echoes quite a bit given the metal closet door, vinyl floor, and small size of the room. I added these panels around the room in the hopes that I wouldn't echo as much and that my fiance wouldn't have to hear me yell when gaming with friends, and it has honestly made a huge difference. They come with adhesive on the entire back, which sticks very effectively to walls and doors. For $96 when writing this review, you get 8 panels, making them ~$12 apiece - a good value for the quality of product that you're getting, in my opinion.

I have a nice, large bedroom downstairs under my rather larger living room. It is a beautiful bedroom, with one flaw. The ceiling isn't well enough insulated, and someone in bed downstairs can hear everything that happens upstairs! Not good at all! I've been seeking an answer to the noise problem for years. I've tried many "press to apply" materials, including these. I've found that you want to use the adhesive to apply the sound deadening material to the walls in the room where the noise is made. In a room affected by the noise created outside the room, you want the sound deadening material applied by nailing it up backwards. Meaning with the adhesive exposed.I am installing these panels backwards, with the porous front side toward the upstairs. And they ARE helping. I can't very well apply sound insulation on top of my hardwood floor in the living room. My wife would mutiny! Installing them under the floor to the floor joists has to do. And it does in fact cut down on the noise level, like feet walking across the floor. These panels are easier to install. Instead of small squares requiring a lot of work for installation, these panels are 4 feet by 2 feet, semi-rigid black polyester densely woven fiber. Since I'm installing them above a suspended ceiling, their pattern, color and texture are hidden. All I want them for is for their sound absorbing ability. I do believe guests will no longer complain about the noise! Very nice results.
