The material is high quality, faux wool inside with a sueded outside… however there is no way to get into it besides a small head hole which is pretty tight to start, let alone wrestling a toddler into it. The material is so thick that the child can hardly move and is too warm and heavy to be comfortable. The wool is also pretty scratchy feeling, so an under layer would also be needed for comfort.

Size was very small, really tight on my one and half year old, he weighs 23lbs thin little guy..

CONS: The sizing is inaccurate. My son is 16 months old. I purchased the 2T and it is not even close to fitting over his shoulders. This would've fit him when he was maybe 10 months old. As other reviewers have said, this costume should have a zipper or velcro in the back. That, or it should be sized correctly.PROS: The robe is nice thick material and is well made.

This is a really high quality production. My only complaints are that the robe is so thick and warm that it makes it hard to pull on over baby's head. It would be nice if it buttoned or zipped up. The hat that came with the 2t was also just a little snug on my son's head. Granted, his head is huge, it would probably fit a regular baby just fine. It still fits him, we just don't velcro it under his chin.

I wanted to love this costume. Unfortunately we’ll be returning it. The head piece is a really bright yellow/green, it isn’t what is pictured. The robe is one solid piece with a small opening for the head that is difficult to put on. It’s also very thick material. Like a fur coat. It would be nice in a cold climate except the thick material makes it impossible for a toddler to get back up when they fall down. They should have made it with a thinner material and added a zipper on the back. My son wears 12 month clothes but I ordered 2T based on reviews I read. It’s the right length, so I’d say it definitely runs small. Overall I can’t recommend this costume.
