When I got this for my brother as a birthday present, he was blown away by it! I haven't heard any complaints or encountered any problems thus far while he has been experimenting with this smelting. He had never used one of them before, so it did take him a minute to figure everything out. The English translation of some of the instructions is subpar. With the exception of the metal, this smelter is a wonderful beginner set and appears to be reasonably well-made. For someone like my brother, who only melts stuff as a hobby, it works perfectly. So far, it looks like a wise purchase. We will see how it holds up aside from that.

This product is good but not great. Does not do a good job with copper, but has done well with aluminum although that's messy.

I originally posted a bad review as the furnace stopped working after 3 times and Amazon would not allow me to return. After posting the review the manufacturer reached out and remedied the problem. Great customer service.

I found this pretty easy to use. Melted the metal scraps.

This whole furnace and casting set is ideal for jewelry makers who want to increase their skills. Beautifully made, immaculate when delivered, and completely equipped with all the equipment and accessories I need, this furnace is ideal for increasing my jewelry-making skills through metal casting at a fair price. In addition to being exquisitely crafted, this furnace set is extremely well wrapped to prevent potential damage during shipping. When buying the furnace, I really valued getting all the extra tools I would need, including gloves, tongs, crucibles, and an incredibly clear operating manual.

Crucible is garbage. Used it twice and it already disintegrating into the metal.

I received this through Amazon vine for my Honest review. I have to say that this product has been amazing. It’s truly intrigued my son and has him outside regularly forging with this new tool. It ca,e with all the basic necessities to start right away. We did buy some firebricks to ensure we had a safe space to create and some fine sand for molding but all the other essentials were in the kit.I choose this product as I trust the brand. I have two kettles for melting wax by the same company that I love. Their being elements melt efficiently and are easy to use creating functional heating and safe to use tools.Highly recommend!

I have never done any smelting before but it was a hobby I have long been eager to try. I have a lot of scrap aluminum and cans, so that's what I did. I very much appreciate that it came with basically everything I needed to start right away: A mold, gloves, tongs, the crucible, and the furnace itself. Unwisely perhaps, I did not use the gloves perhaps as much as I should have, but the ceramic and fire-resistant cotton kept it fairly cool externally and I was outside on a very frigid day. I felt that the instruction manual left something to be desired in terms of explanations, and there were German words mixed with the English making it a bit trickier. Fortunately, I have a family member who speaks German so I got that sorted. The furnace itself seems robustly constructed and beyond a little bit of discoloration from the heat, it is still in great shape after approx. 2 hours of smelting.I will say the only concern I have is that the crucible is only "rated" (according to the manual) for 8-15 pours. Well, this is a pretty wide range, first. Second, as a novice, I am not entirely sure what to look for when deciding its time to replace, beyond obvious stuff like having a massive crack in it. It looks like the Toauto web store on Amazon sells replacements, but the manual does not say which of the several sizes I need for this particular kit.
