I use this with my radio-controlled model airplanes that I hang from the ceiling. I used to use a step ladder that I would go up on to get them down. Getting older, that proved to be a little precarious. With this balancer I just reach up with my hand and pull it down. I then have a stick with a hook on the end that allows me to get the balancer back into position gently.
