Used immediately upon arrival. Cleaned threads like a charm. Great set with a lot of range. Well made. Good steel. Not the typical chinesium.

I just got this thread repair kit today and have already repaired 3 boogered up blind holes. All three were damaged 4-40 threads in aluminum. The thread chaser repaired the threads perfectly and I plan on using this kit a lot more at work. The case is OK, the latches are decent, but I am not thrilled with the hinge because it does not have an actual hinge, it has the cheap, molded, thin flexible plastic type that is prone to breaking after some use. Mine already has about a 1/2" tear on the right side - see picture.There is a nice selection of taps and dies and it is nice that they're color-coded between metric, UNC and UNF. The case is labeled with the sizes and each and every tap and die is also labeled.
