Fit my wedco gas can perfecty!However when I filled it with gas, the seal immediately disintegrated and the spout got soft and sticky.

I have 1 gallon and 5 gallon WEDCO plastic gas cans. This spout didn't fit either can. The gasket appears to seat on the can spout, but when you tighten the plastic collar nut down, it actually pushes the spout down into the gas can collar. Gasoline leakage is then massive when you pour!I also noted that the cap on the end of the spout didn't seal tightly to the spout, so the spout leaked from this end as well. This has nothing to do with the gas can you attach it to, but is an issue with parts from the same manufacturer not sealing well. Not recommended.

I gave this product a one star. The reason for this is that the collar is not milled to hold the spout in place. It fits the gas can perfect, but when you pour the fuel the spout becomes dislodged. If the the collar was produced in a thicker plastic with the cut out a bit smaller diameter , this would solve the problem. I poured more fuel on myself than the quad. I tried several times to see where my mistake was, only to come to the conclusion that its a product issue.
