I got new gutters and needed some sort of filter, so I grabbed these. Unfortunately they didn't fit my rectangular downspouts. I tried cutting the circular spout adapter and it just wouldn't fit (secondarily, a gutter spike was in the way). So I designed an adapter for mine and it fits. Now I'll get to see how they perform.

I did not have the funds to put on an entire length of gutter guard so I opted to try these products. When they arrived, they were flat in the package and needed to be snap together so I was concerned they were going to be a poorly manufactured and something with break. Turns out they snap together easily and my husband and I quickly place them on the top of our downspouts on our roof. We didn't even need to get on the roof, we just got a ladder and cleaned up and block them in. We've checked them to her three times and there is a substantial amount of debris prior to the unit so it is working properly and now it's nothing goes down the downspout and clocks back.

These work, for about 5 minutes. The only difference is the leaves and debris don't go into the downspout and instead, everything gathers at the Gutter Guard. Leaves and other small debris clog it up and stops water from flowing.

It arrived quick and was easy to assemble and install in the gutter. It doesn’t stop leaf build up or slowing of the drain completely. It just creates more surface area allowing for more build up before stopping up. My only concern is it’s made of plastic and not sure how long it will hold up in the 100 plus temps we receive during the summer.

We have some mature trees that drop leaves and seeds that sometimes plug our downspouts and cause the water to overflow in the gutter. I thought I'd try these to see if they would at least keep the gutters from becoming plugged. About a month after installing them we get a good rain and I see that water is coming over the sides of the gutters instead of going down the downspout. Next day I check the gutters and see that they are full of seeds with small trees growing out of them. In the past those seeds would have gone into the downspout and maybe plugged it, maybe not. Instead they got stopped by the gutter guard and guaranteed that each gutter got plugged.In a way, it does what it says it does: Prevents the downspout pipe from becoming clogged. However, it doesn't solve the problem of making sure water can run down the downspout and in my case made the problem worse.

Unverified reports continue to pop up of leaves simply hurling themselves away from houses with the Gutter Guard installed, lest they become a failed mockery, rotting on the ridges of these unyielding guardians! 5 stars, would buy again if I collect another house.
