I love the design of the toolkit I received, but it's not a usable tool. Par for the course on Amazon, where the only thing that matters is financial power and the production of global harm (not of me or consumers necessarily, but harm of workers and product suppliers). Such a glut of pretend products... guess I've learned my lesson?Anyway, I love the red tool body of what I received, and the plastic bit holder looks really nice. None of the bits actually fit in the tool head. When I tried to open it, it broke. Oops, my bad. I'll keep these items, sure. They're not bad findings, and I like the aesthetic—maybe I can replace the broken part and still get some use out of the rest. Unfortunately this purchase did not meet my needs, and I still need an actual drill. The bits themselves don't seem bad and can be used by hand just fine, with a little creativity.I have mixed feelings about giving a low rating—this sort of product sale and delivery service is honestly too good to be true, given the current state of the world. I don't blame the seller, or anyone involved in bringing me these items. I'm grateful I got a chance to pretend! If you're okay with collecting trash, by all means, shop on Amazon. Trash can be useful, and people can make a lot of money selling trash here. However if you need actual tools, consider shopping local. :)

Very sturdy and comes with a good chunk of bits. I use it daily and got myself a spare that, a year on, still haven't needed. Top marks.

This drill makes building miniatures and related tasks easy. I love complicated miniatures but they often require pinning if you want to actually have them stay together. This is the best tool of its variety I've ever owned/used.

Great tool, fast delivery, and does exactly as described with no issues. All the bits I've tried in it have aligned perfectly and produced a straight bore - sometimes with very little room to spare while trying to avoid any breakout on the exterior sections of what's being drilled. Even the supplied bits have performed admirably, with the smallest (1mm I believe) not breaking or bending while going through plastc, pewter, resin and thin wood - something other bits have done in the past (though producing a slightly more rough entry hole, when compared with some other bits that were purchased separately). That said, if I was going through anything with any real strength or depth, I would probably use a hardened bit and a pillar drill/drill-press, and not a hand tool like this. The swivel top has just enough play so that tiny hand movements don't misalign the bit, but not so much that would allow the hand to sit tilted and affect the bore. Be aware that there is a secondary chuck is concealed within the handle, and the top section including swivel must be removed to access it.All in all, good product and a happy customer.

This drill worked perfectly for my Warhammer figures. One of the tips is just the right size to make a hole for 2x1mm magnets (typical joint sizes for citadel models, I believe), which can also be bought on Amazon for cheap. This was my first magnetizing project, and this drill helped make it super easy. If that's what you're trying to do, then "Yes" is the answer to your question; this is the affordable hand drill for you.

-Bought this to magnetize my Warhammer 40k models. Simple to use. Cheap.-The drill bit was a bit low quality; time consuming to drill anything. I bought some larger drill bit from Menards and notice that it drilled much faster with little effort (roughly 4x faster). I recommend buying your own drill bits.-It also cannot hold 1/8" drill bit or larger.

Has helped a ton with pinning and getting needed holes in metal minis that I got from Dark Sword miniatures. I like how it stores the various bit holders, though I wish it had a built in storage solution for the bits themselves. Having to keep those things together can be a pain.My only real complaint is that the smallest bit doesn't seem to hold very will with any of the bit holders. The smallest bit holder can keep it stable, but when any meaningful amount of pressure is applied the bit falls back into the drill body.

The media and those that purport contempt for these purveyors of syrup-coated gossip pieces masquerading as "news" can both agree on the simple fact that the times, they are indeed a-changing.As such as it was when I found myself in a quandary that I needed special tooling. Special tooling for a special job. Recently I had begun to embark on the road often traveled and that is embroiling myself into the seedy underbelly of Warhammer miniature painting. These small, highly detailed bits of plastic, when assembled by people of grit are truly inspirational. The same people then slather a fine coating of paint on these tiny Michelangelo's "David" sculpture and inspiration turns into admiration. These small sculptures need assembly and sure, any Rube can plaster these in figures into a cocoon of so-called "super" glue and call it a day, but I wanted more. I wanted to show that I have grit, or at least have the potential to show my grit. I want to join these people. That's where The Army Painter Miniature and Model Drill came into my life. This drill allow for fine precision drilling but to the neophyte like myself, it was not intuitive on how to use this device. After much consultation with thick-jawed people who speak with forceful language and hand gestures, I learned how to use the included chucks (stored in the bottom half of the drill) for the appropriate sized drill bit.The tool is well made, feels heavy in your hand, and works when used appropriate. What's appropriate though. In these day of consumerism and uncertainty I leave that up to you. I recommend this tool if you are in need of such tool. The price and the quality strike a fair balance.

Haven't had any bad expirence with this yet. Works exactly as expected. Have to change the heads and make it looser or tighter depending on what size drill you need to use. So far have used to drill holes into plastic models for pinning and into same models to create holes in firearms (think bolt guns in 40k minis). Different drills store away in little plastic container that comes with it. Have had it for lil over a week but seems durable enough that I won't be buying another anytime soon. If it breaks will update the review. Overall great product for price and works well. Would recommend to anyone who is looking for a modeling drill. (I by no means am an expert a little over a year in the hobby, so ymv.)

Ah jeez, what can I say about this thing?Oh yeah, "Best Investment I've Made in Awhile."But seriously, this thing has a bit that's perfect for drilling out bolter barrels and all manner of other things. As for everyone saying that the bits don't fit into the drill properly; this drill comes with 4 different sized chucks that can be fitted into the drill's head in order to properly hold the various drill bits. It's a solid piece for a solid price, and I highly recommend it; it fits nicely in my hand and it feels very comfortable to use.

Consigliato.
