Come pre sealed and drilled, just bolt on and go. I wish the sanding around the handles was a little smoother but I'll be wearing gloves most of the time anyway. Great for the price!

These were a perfect fit for my Jackson wheelbarrow. Easy swap out. Would be nice if they came with the wooden wedges though. Not sure why you would replace one without the other.

Purchased as a present for a friend whose wheelbarrow handle broke. Took the broken ones off and replaced them with these and Voila. As good as new.

The pair of handles cost me nearly half the price of a brand-new Jackson wheelbarrow (heavy-duty plastic blue plastic, about $230; the last one a dealer had (and not getting any more of Jackson; would not give me a deal). The bucket of the old one - the same model - is scuffed and little encrusted with concrete. The handles were replaced once before (when I could get them around here). At the time my buddy braced the metal parts with aluminum plates and, more importantly, replaced the wheel assembly with a trailer wheel and rubber (not nylon) tire. The rubber tire is superb: incomparably better than nylon or no-flat tires. It glides over the contour of the terrain without slipping sideways, and it simply floats over depressions without slamming into the opposite side of the hole. This is most precious.(My former El-Cheapo employers - of an economy-minded ethnicity - pumped concrete into a tire; the wheelbarrow dug into the ground, going like a missile to China in a straight line; they thought it was a grand money-saving affair.)My niece with time on her hand decided to replace the handles. (1) The handles were somewhat stuck together because of protective coating, (2) and the usual issue of rusted nuts and bolts was encountered. Small matters, she did the job without a hassle, otherwise.I thought it was a gamble whether the handles would fit. Another 20 years, maybe. It's a pity that Jackson plastic wheelbarrows are not easily available anymore. A metal Jackson I broke in no time.

I bought these handles to replace the old rotten ones on my vintage Jackson contractor grade wheelbarrow. They fit perfectly — all the holes lined up. I didn’t try to reuse the old nuts and bolts because they were rusted beyond recognition. New nuts and bolts from the hardware store cost me about 12 bucks. I need a new wood wedges to go between the handles in the tub – I just made new ones on the tablesaw out of some old pressure treated lumber I had laying around. The only thing about these handles that I needed to modify was for the front bracket. The holes lined up perfectly, but there are only two of them. My wheelbarrow bracket requires four holes, so I just had to drill two more holes. That was a piece of cake with a paddle bit. It all came together good as new. This was a much better solution than buying a brand new Jackson wheelbarrow of this quality for probably $250 at Home Depot.

I couldn't be more pleased with these replacement handles. My old ones rotted, primarily use to the bolts that attached them rusting and creating rot in the bolt holes. This is on an older two-wheeled Craftsman wheelbarrow. I really wanted to keep this wheelbarrow alive, as they don't make them this well anymore, but I was concerned that the handles I bought would not fit correctly and bolt holes would not line up. These handle arrived and I instantly noticed they are well made and were finished well with polyurethane or similar durable finish. The bolt holes lined up exactly with the old handles and I was able to install them with no issues whatsoever. I did replace all the rusty bolts with stainless steel bolts, nuts and washers to avoid the rust problem in the future. Once back together, this wheelbarrow is more solid than the day I bought it, as these handles are better quality than the original ones, not to mention they were substantially cheaper than if I had bought them at our local hardware store, where they were more expensive and came unfinished and undrilled.

Had to drill these out as my wheelbarrow is a totally different brand. These are nice and thick. both were slightly warped one a little more than the other but not enough to cause any type of issue. If you were fitting these on a barrow that they were drilled for you might have to push a bit to get the holes to line up if they were warped more then mine were. These are not super hard wood, and are not a real deluxe set. but they are solid I put a couple of coats of some oil varnish I had around to help make them hold up. (don't leave oily rags around after you do this, you'll burn your place down)Update-- Had these for a while now I really like the thick handles. This is a solid product.

Worked great, had to drill a new pair of holes, as the alignment was slightly off from my bucket... worked out well in the end.

I have a Jackson wheelbarrow that I bought almost 40 years ago. It has been sitting outside most of that time. I haven't even used it in about ten years and recently I needed to mix some concrete. I pulled it out half expecting it to be rusted out and useless. To my surprise it was still pretty solid except for the handles which were partially rotted out. I decided, since I have some future projects I want to use it for, to take it apart, clean it up and paint it. I thought I would have to make some new handles and was surprised to find the exact same wheelbarrow was still being made and I could actually get replacement handles and tire, or any other parts I needed. I received the handles very promptly, installed them on my freshly painted wheelbarrow, they fit perfectly, and wow! Looks like brand new, like something you would see on American Restoration. I'm pretty sure I could get another 40 years out of it, especially if I kept it covered. I write this because this kind of American story is getting rare and the experience is enough to make one feel patriotic. That said, I was a little disappointed the handles appear to be made of popular rather than ash like the originals. I had to make the two wedge shaped pieces and the two cross pieces but that wasn't a problem. In some cases, they still do make them like they used to.
