The offset wrench would complete the task when the straight wrench would not stay seated on the nut or bolt. Makes certain jobs that much easier. Saves me from getting frustrated trying to do the job with the wrong wrench.

This is a good set to have around if you work on enough cars. You almost never use them but when you do need these you will need these. Got me out of a pinch a few times already since owning this set.

Not a tool snob but I am a buy once cry once kind of guy. I worked in the automotive and construction fields most of my life so far (about 22 years of experience). I tend to stick to Proto, MAC and Blackhawk with a few Snap-On and Matco products in my box (HF, Husky and the like are there too). I really never splurged on a good set of offset box wrenches due to the fact I have several sets on combination and ratcheting. I have a few yard sale and flea market finds in my box for offsets but not a set. I decided to try these due to some of the guys I worked with in the past swore by their impact sockets. I was not let down. They are not a Snap-On or MAC quality level tool however they are made very well. The fit and finish is solid. They fit as tight as any other wrench I have and look good enough to be Sunday tools. There are some less expensive tool features such as they are rather thick but not get in the way thick and they do have some weight to them. Not running out to replace other tools but I am eye balling the standard set now. Here is the scale. No name tools=1Stanley=2.5HF and big box=5Modern SK=7.5MAC and the like=10These are are solid 8 and I would compare them to some SK or US made Craftsman Pro. A step above Wera's wrenches or other brands Amazon likes to showcase in wrenches.

This is a must have set if you work in some places where there is not a lot of space to move around. No just in your car but in those corners, around the appliances, closet doors and more. These wrenches look and work pretty nice.

Very well made, I have purchased several Tekton wrench sets and I consider them a great value for their cost

Not the best finish that I've seen but certainly up there. The Chrome is probably an 8/10 with the pre-chrome finishing preparation being a 7/10. The box ends are slightly thicker than I prefer but they're undoubtedly strong. The beams are fairly thick and easy on the hands. No flex is detected at normal, heavy working loads. The numbers/letters stamping is clear an relatively consistent. There's some small/shallow voids/nicks/pitting in a few places around the face of some of the box ends. This doesn't effect how the tool operates however, some of the manufacturers are doing better finishes. Icon, Husky Pro, and the Taiwanese made Craftsman wrenches, all display a higher quality finish. Some of these examples are more money, but the Craftsman are less. Overall, very satisfied and I feel that I paid a very fair price at $46 for a specialty wrench.

As a professional heavy equipment mechanic I bought these for a project they are full polished built very sturdy easy to clean fits on bolt heads properly not like some cheap wrenches with lots of slop would compare them to snap on or proto. They fit in hands comfortably I like them a lot save some money buy these before tool truck brands

These are good solid wrenches. I am not a professional, but a heavy use home mechanic. I own a lot of tekton tools and they are used to fix a wide variety of vehicles, farm equipment, lawn and garden equipment and anything else that breaks on a homestead.Even better than the wrenches themselves are the customer service. This particular set actually arrived with a duplicate wrench of one size and missing a wrench of another size. I sent a picture of the set showing the missing slot in the carrier as well as the duplicate off to the side with the sizes of the duplicates clearly visible in the picture. This was late on a Sunday evening. Monday morning I had a response from customer service that they were sending a wrench of the missing size. That afternoon I had tracking for the package!I can't tell you if these are as good as tool truck brands. I'll probably never own any of those tools so I'll leave that to others to fight about. All tools are subject to break from time to time. I can't say that I expect these tools to last forever but what I can say is that Tekton's customer service is second to none.

Limited use so far but the wrenches fit spec'd sizes very well, feel good in the hand and appear to be very well made. I'm happy with the purchase. Probably the best bang for the buck I've come across in some time.

Most complete box wrench for the money. Feel great in hand. Cosmetically, pretty much flawless. Smooth mirror finish. No rough edges. Off-corner drive lugs well defined.

I was impressed that these wrenches arrived individually wrapped in plastic to protect the finish. That's an indicator of quality. Tools showed up with a clean, mirror chrome finish, unlike, cheap tools that still smell of machine oil that the manufacturer never bothered to clean off.Pleased with this purchase. Wrenches worked perfectly to turn the hard to reach bolts under my hood.
