For what i paid for this unit just under $29.00 US i feel i aced it with this Tayama TG-868 electric grill. Where i live (Apts) we are not allowed to use brickets at all on our balconies or patios .And if using Propane grills only allowed small canister.Things that go Boom do not endear themselves with me so i stay clear of using propane. That is where this product excels. Will do all of my grilling on it's non stick surface exceptionally well . Even does my hamburger buns very nicely with nice grill marks and toasting of them. I have grilled Chicken and Beef with this unit. Leaves very good grill marks on both. Cooks evenly and plenty of room to boot. Being electric for me is a plus. I can and do use it in the kitchen and outside on my patio. Clean up is a breeze and it stores on my counter barely taking up any room what so ever. I am very pleasantly surprised so far with this grill. Would buy again if needed and Yes i would recommend to all. If nothing else get one for those not good weather days that still leave you craving BBQ food.

I was told I could not use my gas grill on my apartment patio so I bought this electric grill, after using it for several months now I say the flavor doesn't compare to a gas grill but it's still better than cooking meat in an oven or fry pan, I do like the pan that holds water under the element, it prevents flare ups and smoke, it's not totally smokeless but does make a difference.I would not recommend using it indoors unless you have a range exhaust they say it is smokeless but it's not.I was surprised how fast it cooks and I didn't need to turn the temperature all the way up, 3/4 way is plenty for steaks and burgers.Cleanup was easy just let removable grill top soak in suds for an hour and use a coarse sponge on it. Don't forget to clean water tray every time you use it..

I truly do not like to give a five star review as that would mean that something is perfect and almost nothing is. I had read a review of a different unit and wanted to buy that one but it was backordered. I decided to buy this unit as it looked identical and was 15 dollars less. It is a really nice addition to my kitchen. I am pleased and my wife is also. I do the cooking at home and my wife was so pleased with the hamburgers that I made for the first run that she wanted to cook the next time! She is handicapped, so this was a joy and she made us absolutely delicious burgers. I have made short ribs on it twice and now that is in high rotation on our menu. I marinated some flank steak and we had resturant quality fajitas. We love to cook and are always looking up recipes but we have not had a grill for a few years. It is truly extremely low smoke. Filling the tray with water allows the drippings to instantly cool and not smoke or flame up. The grilling surface is designed to cover the heating elements and that eliminates flame ups. It really is a simple but well designed appliance. I would absolutely buy another if I needed to. It cleans up really well and I am so glad that I pulled the trigger on this purchase.

I purchased this from Amazon “Used- Like New”. It was obviously not used, but the box was damaged.I have used this grill several times and it has been great. It smoked the first time I used it, but that was my fault because I didn’t put water in the drip tray. After reading the instructions (we men don’t typically read instructions), I put water in the tray the other times used and there was virtually no smoke.I have grilled steaks, chicken, and pork steaks perfectly with this grill. I set the grill about 2 less than max and let it heat up about 10 minutes. It grills quickly but don’t expect that true outdoor grill flavor. Clean up has been easy.My only issue is that the On/Off light does not work. Other than that it’s worked flawlessly.Based on my experience, I’d recommend this grill.

This is perfect. I couldn't be happier about this purchase. I live in a small apartment complex which contains ten units, which are rented mostly to middle aged, retirees, and disabled people with too much time on our hands, and not enough to do. Most of us are usually friendly enough to get together for outdoor barbeques at least once a week, and its my job to provide the grill and the music. There are electrical outlets just inside of our front doors, and the power cord is long enough to set the grill on a TV table outside, next to the door and another TV table which holds my boombox. I've already used it several times, and it works like a charm, as long as you follow the common sense suggestions found in the customer reviews. About that black stuff coming off the tray. It's called paint. There's something else called a paint brush. Does that give y'all any ideas. Personally, I'm glad some of that crap came off of mine, and I'm scraping off the rest. Paint fumes aren't healthy. So what if it eventually rusts out. Nothing was made to last forever, and it's cheap enough to keep replacing it. I'm totally satisfied.

I used this little grill once so far and it did a great job cooking steak and pork. It is a lot of fun and super easy to use. Only thing to note: Make sure you put plenty of water in the tray! After using the grill, I pulled out the tray to clean it and realized that one side of the tray did not have water in it so there was a lot of charred stuff stuck to it. I let it soak overnight and then tried using a sponge to clean it off, but immediately the non stick coating started coming off. Super disappointed that this happened after only one use, but I think if I had used more water this would not have happened.
