Where I live, we get our fair share of cold weather. My son loves wearing fun t-shirts year round, but this mama can’t stand seeing bare arms when it’s freezing outside! These shirts are the perfect compromise. They’re close fitting and sleek, making them ideal base layers to wear under t-shirts. The exterior of the shirt has a slick feel to it which will easily glide under sweaters, sweatshirts and anything else you feel like layering. The inside of the shirt has a soft, brushed fleecy feel. I wouldn’t say that it’s fleece lined as the description states, but rather light fleece backed. These are thin, single ply shirts so don’t expect a lining. These shirts aren’t thermal in the traditional sense, like the waffle weave we all grew up with, but rather a more modern take with a sleeker fabric. I appreciate the quantity, 8 shirts!, so he can have one for everyday of the week and a spare for laundry rotation. My son says they’re comfortable and he likes the way they feel against his skin. I’m pleased with these long sleeve layers!

These are a nice fitted shirt, but they are not thermal. They are shiny, and I have never known thermal to be shiny. I like them, but they are not what I thought I was ordering. They also do not appear to be fleece lined.
