How to replce the ram promaster 1500 2500 3500 tail light cover?
Unscrew the back light cover - Check your damaged back light for screws and remove them using a screwdriver
Remove bulb holder plugs - To separate the tail light from the car, remove the plugs holding the bulb. Disconnect the wiring harness before removing the plugs,Disconnect the wiring harness from the back of the old tail lights. Once you have removed the plugs, pull the back light assembly out from behind
Install new tail light - Install the news lens and fix the tail light by tightening the mounting screws and nuts. Reconnect the bulb plugs as well the wiring harness
Check the light - Once you are done installing the new light, check it for proper operation before getting back on the road

We installed the rear light into our Tesla model 3 and it did not work. We reinstalled the original tail light and it worked, so the wiring & install were all correct. It is just the tail light assembly that does not work at all.

I ordered this taillight in November of 2024. My mechanic and others got the flu. So, we did not have time to install it immediately. We had the taillight installed on 3/13/25. A day later we noticed that the turn signal was not working. We took it back to the mechanic. He claimed it is a bad unit. Buyer beware.
