I use this to do smores with the kids instead of making a fire with special wood that you have to babysit and worry about all night. It does work for that purpose. The fuel burns off very quickly (not complaining) and should not be used if there is the slightest breeze because it sends the flames in your face if you happen to be the unfortunate one in the path of the gust.
