I like the look of the wood and the carved plumeria. I like that it only requires two screws per piece to mount to a wall. But there are two very serious design flaws that make for installation problems. First, it's difficult to use a screwdriver (long or short) and impossible to use an electric drill to install the top screw. Why? Because the top of the curved "arm" that supports the surfboard rail is directly in front of the predrilled hole that is meant for the higher of the two screws. This could have been avoided if the predrilled hole was located off-center or set at a slight angle. It could have also been avoided if the curved support extended further from the mounting base. Second, because the curved arm does not extend far enough and curves too sharply, the fins CANNOT be placed inward, toward the wall. Third, the tips of the curved arms need to be padded because they will put small pressure dents in the bottom of a longboard or shortboard (which is often glassed with one layer of four-ounce cloth-- half of the strength of the surfboard deck). I think the reason that the manufacturer/seller uses this flawed design is for shipping considerations. As-is, my set arrived in a medium-sized flat rate USPS box. This is a cheaper means of shipping that a larger box, and a larger box would have been able to support a much better designed product. So instead of being able to put my longboard fins-inward as advertised, I had to settle for mounting my shortboard fins-outward. Not what I wanted. I hope this manufacturer/seller will keep the wood and the plumeria look, but make reset/relocate the upper screw holes, and make the curved arm supports larger and truly accommodating of any surfboard and with a truly fins-inward option. Was I ripped off? Not really. Disappointed, yes. Sad, because if the product were better thought out, I would be willing to pay more to cover a larger wall rack requiring a larger flat-rate USPS box. I would also have been inclined to order a second rack-- the one with the Hawaiian etching. I'm not angry, just unhappy. When you look at the seller's pictures in the advertisement, it is hard to notice that the upper screw is almost impossible to set-- either manually or with electric drill. It is impossible to see that even short-ish fins will rub the wall. Re-design is sorely needed! Guy S.

They look great, and are very functional. I got these to hang my daughters board in her room and not look ugly at the same time. Both missions accomplished.
